1. Spring management (February to April)

Generally speaking, snakes for breeding are introduced in spring. During transportation, there is no need to worry about the weather being too cold or too hot, and the farm will soon enter the spawning period. Before introducing the snake into the snake farm, you should clean up in advance and do a good job of cleaning and disinfection. Newly stung snakes basically do not eat for the first two or three weeks, but only begin to eat a small amount of food in April, and their food intake increases greatly in May. Sufficient and hygienic feed should be put in regularly, and clean drinking water should be provided in snake farms. At the same time, people should always observe the activities of snakes and record their predation, drinking water, molting, mating, mating, breeding, diseases and insect pests and deaths.

two。 Summer management (May-July)

Summer is not only the main mating and breeding season for snakes, but also the peak season for predation, activity and growth. We should take good care of female snakes, collect snake eggs in time, and prepare for breeding and hatching. Separate the female snake from the male snake and ensure that the food is adequate and diversified. It is necessary to carefully observe the female snake that lays eggs. For example, when eggs are seen 3cm or 4cm away from the cloaca, they can lay eggs after about a week. Pay attention to collecting snake eggs and do a good job of artificially hatching young snakes. The hot summer should do a good job in cooling the snake nest, and the snake farm should have clean drinking water and clean faeces in time.

3. Management in Autumn (August to October)

Autumn is the peak predation season for snakes, so the feed supplied to snakes in autumn requires high quality, which makes the snake store a large amount of fat for overwintering and dormant consumption in the coming year. At this time, individual snakes with small food intake should be artificially fed to make them safely through the winter. Due to the large amount of prey of wild snakes in autumn, they often come out of the hole to find food, so it is also a good time to catch snakes.

4. Winter management (November to January of the following year)

Winter is the key season for artificial breeding, which is related to whether snakes can survive the winter safely. In particular, snakes with poison or weak physique should strengthen management during the overwintering period. Snakes should be fed and drunk enough before overwintering, with high quality and diversified feed, so as to accumulate enough fat to meet the needs of overwintering. Snakes should maintain a proper temperature during the overwintering period (the indoor temperature of the young snakes is 2: 6 ℃), and strictly prevent the indoor temperature from high and sometimes low, so as not to cause the young snakes to wake up in hibernation, which is disadvantageous to overwintering. The temperature and humidity of the snake farm should be checked regularly in winter. the snake overwintering pool should be covered with plastic sheet. when the temperature rises, the plastic film should be lifted to let the snake out of the hole to have enough sunlight in the snake farm, and the sick snakes should be isolated or executed in time to prevent the whole group from infecting the whole group. Because snakes are particularly concentrated in overwintering, infectious diseases spread quickly, which is very harmful.
