In the northern region, especially in the areas with strong early spring breeze, the phenomenon of striping is easy to occur. Almond roots do not have natural dormancy. Although some varieties can withstand the low temperature of-18 ℃, they can also occur in windy and dry weather below-10 ℃. Striping occurs when the water content of branches is reduced to 35% due to transpiration, and sometimes occurs on 2-3-year-old branches, causing serious effects on tree growth and fruit. The main technical measures for defense are as follows:
1. Create a shelterbelt and create a good growth environment. The construction of protective forest can not only prevent freezing and wind, but also increase the temperature and humidity of the orchard, improve the orchard environment and reduce the striping rate.
2. Create a good microclimate. The semi-orchard-shaped fence built with thermal insulation materials such as soil or rice straw on the north side of the peach orchard can reduce transpiration in winter and spring, increase the water absorption capacity of roots, increase the environmental temperature of the rhizosphere and shorten the freezing time.
3. Create a good rhizosphere environment. High standard planting, planting holes 80 cm wide and 80 cm deep, filled with sufficient firewood and base fertilizer to create a good production environment for the root system, at the same time, adhere to the application of base fertilizer and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer every autumn to enrich the tissue, can improve the anti-striping ability of the tree.
4. Cultivate strong trees. Spraying 300-fold solution of potassium dihydrogen phosphate continuously within 30-45 days before defoliation can increase the bound water in the tree and effectively reduce the striping rate.
5. Reasonable summer pruning to control the growth of branches. Especially in the late summer and early autumn, the striping rate can be reduced by more than 30% by picking the heart of the prosperous branches for many times and controlling the late growth of the branches.
6. apply transpiration protective agent, anti-evaporation agent and so on on the branches. The branch anti-drawing agent developed by the author, when used on almond, can make the branch anti-striping rate reach more than 98%.
