Feiyou 600 (Rice)
Feiyou 600 is a hybrid late indica rice variety developed by Cheng Shihua researcher in 1999 by crossing Fei Gai An and R600. The combination has medium tillering ability, large panicle and many grains, higher 1000-grain weight, better high yield, less fertilizer, better blast resistance than the control, slightly better rice quality than the control Shanyou 63, and higher seed production yield. It is suitable for single cropping rice planting in Zhejiang Province and continuous late planting in southern Zhejiang Province. In cultivation, we should pay attention to prevent lodging and control bacterial blight. In the regional trials of single cropping indica hybrid rice in Zhejiang Province in 2001 and 2002, the average yield per mu in two years was 523.1 kg, which was 6.1% higher than that of Shanyou 63. The average total growth period in two years was 133.7 days, which was 2.4 days shorter than that of the control.
