Last Updated: 2024/11/24, First, scientific feeding and management is an important basis for the prevention of sheep disease. Practice has proved that most sheep diseases are caused by improper feeding and management. According to the living habits of sheep, we should do a good job in the words "eat, live and travel": eat-feed grass, supplement concentrate, and standardize the preparation of diet. Live-ventilation in summer, warm in winter, clean and dry sanitary column. OK-the sheep should exercise in house feeding and prevent falling in the later period of pregnancy. Second, it is forbidden to buy sheep in epidemic areas. Sheep purchased from non-epidemic areas should also be kept in isolation for one month until they are proved to be disease-free.

Live-ventilation in summer, warm in winter, clean and dry sanitary column. OK-the sheep should exercise in house feeding and prevent falling in the later period of pregnancy.

Second, it is forbidden to buy sheep in epidemic areas. Sheep bought from non-epidemic areas should also be kept in isolation for one month, and only after they are proved to be disease-free can they be mixed into their own flocks.

Third, do a good job of vaccination of vaccines and vaccines (vaccination). The following four types of vaccines must be injected in most areas:

(1) attenuated goat pox freeze-dried vaccine: diluted 50 times with normal saline, regardless of the size of the sheep, 0.5 ml was injected into the lower side of the caudal root, once a year. (2) Sheep quadruple inactivated vaccine: it can prevent four kinds of infectious diseases (sheep fast epidemic, sheep sudden gangrene, sheep enterotoxemia, lamb dysentery). Two injections a year, one in March and one in September. (3) aluminum hydroxide vaccine of goat infectious pleuropneumonia. Can be arranged in April once a year, intramuscular or subcutaneous injection, sheep under 6 months old each use 3 ml, sheep over 6 months old each use 5 ml. (4) the inactivated vaccine against bovine type O disease No. 5 shall be injected twice a year at a dose according to the instructions.

Fourth, disinfect the sheep house regularly. It is best to disinfect every 10 to 15 days. The available disinfectants are 0.5% peracetic acid solution, double-stranded quaternary amine salt (Minxing No. 5 disinfection solution), 3% Lysol solution, and 400 times antidoxur diluent.

Fifth, deworming regularly. During the period of grazing goats and feeding grass in mutton sheep houses, parasitic diseases are easy to be infected. Deworming is required once in each season, the following deworming drugs can be selected: (1) albendazole (also known as anti-creeping sensitivity). Take 15 mg per kilogram of body weight. (2) levamisole. Tablets, 10 mg / kg body weight, and injections, 7.5 mg / kg body weight, intramuscular injection. This medicine has serious side effects and should be used with caution. (3) Ivermectin. It can drive out nematodes in vivo and parasites in vitro (lice, ticks, mites) at the same time, but it has no effect on trematodes and tapeworms. Use injection, 0.2 mg per kilogram of body weight, subcutaneously or intramuscularly; use powder, 0.2 grams per kilogram of body weight, can be mixed with a small amount of concentrate or mixed with water. (4) meridazole. This product has the excellent properties of broad spectrum, high efficiency and safety. it can dispel all kinds of parasites in the body and be taken with 15 mg per kilogram of body weight.

The sheep breeding farm shall have epidemic prevention facilities and epidemic prevention management system. Set up a veterinary room and an isolation house for sick sheep in the downwind of the sheep house (more than 100 meters from the healthy sheep house; the droppings and dirt of the sheep should be transported to the downwind more than 200 meters from the sheep house for accumulation and fermentation; when the personnel outside the field are required to visit the sheep breeding farm, they shall not abide by the epidemic prevention system in the field without principle, and shall enter the field only after strict disinfection with the consent of the veterinarian and the permission of the director. Once an infectious disease occurs, emergency prevention and control measures shall be taken to do a good job of isolation, treatment, disinfection and treatment, and report the epidemic situation to the competent department in a timely manner.
