Cotton drip Irrigation Automation Project helps to increase Cotton production
The "cotton drip irrigation automatic control science and technology demonstration project" in Shihezi, which has been listed in the state plan, will add another 15000 mu to the experimental demonstration area this year on the basis of last year.
In recent years, after the application of cotton drip irrigation under plastic film in Shihezi reclamation area, the total yield and per unit yield of cotton have been greatly increased. * * Tianye Group, as the largest agricultural water-saving drip irrigation equipment manufacturer in China, has promoted water-saving drip irrigation area of more than 10 million mu. In order to seize the commanding heights of science and technology, the company independently innovated and developed the "Cotton drip Irrigation Automation system" in 2005, and carried out experiments and demonstrations in 148 and 149 regiments in Shihezi Reclamation area in 2006, covering an area of nearly 10,000 mu. After the application of the new technology, the indoor visualization of cotton production process and the automation of soil moisture monitoring and irrigation are realized.
It is understood that the per unit yield of cotton in the cotton drip irrigation automatic demonstration project area is more than 8% higher than that of ordinary drip irrigation cotton, and the water saving is about 15%. After the application of automatic drip irrigation technology, only 10 labor management is needed for 3000 mu cotton.
