2. Growth habits: Hainan Panax notoginseng is produced in southern Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi and Taiwan. It is distributed from south to southeast of Asia. Like high temperature, moist and sunny environment. It is suitable for sandy loam with good drainage, rich humus and loose. The suitable temperature for growth is 20-28 ℃.

3. Propagation and cultivation: the rhizome is generally used for ramet propagation. When breeding, choose full and budding rhizomes and store them in the sand to survive the winter. When planting from March to April of the next year, the one-year-old rhizome was taken out, and the wound was coated with plant ash. In Guangzhou, when the leaves withered and dormant, they could stay in the basin soil for the winter, keep the basin soil slightly moist, and plant it before germination in the next spring.

Panax notoginseng in Hainan can be cultivated in ground or pot. Adequate basal fertilizer should be applied in the process of cultivation. Fertilize 2-3 times from spring to autumn, and stop fertilizing in winter.

Use: because of the beautiful fishbone-shaped pattern on the leaves and purple back leaves, Panax notoginseng is a beautiful foliage plant, which can be used for garden layout or potted indoor viewing; at the same time, because of its flowers before leaves, the flowers are many and gorgeous, the four petals are red and white corresponding to very elegant, and the flower viewing effect is also very good. At present, under artificially controlled cultivation conditions, it can blossom before the Spring Festival.
