Nari flower Guernsey lily
Place of origin:
Nari flower is native to southern Africa.
Morphological features:
The flower stem is tall and straight, the flower shape is strange, the flower color is orange, the extreme root yellow flower Lycoris, some people once called it "golden tulip".
Cut flower breeding was widely carried out in the 1970s. At present, China's market supply mainly depends on imports.
Growth habits:
Strong adaptability, cold resistance, like cold, cool and humid environment.
It needs sufficient light and ventilation, and the requirements for soil conditions are not high, and it is better to be slightly acidic.
High temperature in summer is beneficial to the flower bud formation of Nari bulb and can promote early flowering.
To breed:
Bulbs are commonly propagated, and the storage bulbs are planted in stages from March to April, once every 4-5 years. When seeds propagate, the germination temperature is 21 ℃, and it takes 4-5 years for seeds to blossom.
Cultivation:
Nari flowers planted in April were given cool and humid conditions to promote the rooting of bulbs, and then fertilized once every two weeks. If the water supply was sufficient, the bulbs and leaves grew fastest under 9-ll ℃ temperature in autumn, and 9-lO could blossom every month. After the stems and leaves withered in autumn and winter, the bulbs were dug up and dried in the storage room.
Diseases and insect pests:
The leaves are damaged by shell insects and red spiders during the growing period. The red spider was sprayed with 1000 times of dicofol emulsion. The virus causes leaf spot disease and affects the leaf growth and bulb development of Nari flower, which can be controlled by spraying with Bordeaux solution of 100 Bordeaux.
