Cocoon collection and sale of silkworm

i) Cocoon picking

1. Cocooning suitable period: mature silkworm cocooning end, molting pupation, with the development of pupa, the skin becomes hard, skin color turns dark, when the skin color turns yellow for cocoon suitable period. The spring silkworm stage is 6-7 days after the upper cluster. Summer and autumn silkworm stage is 5-6 days after the first cluster, and late autumn silkworm stage is 7-8 days after the first cluster. Generally, cocoons can be collected. Cocoon picking is too early, silkworm has not pupa, woolen cocoon is not easy to be dried evenly during cocoon drying, cocoon quality is reduced, and woolen cocoon is easy to seep dirt from silkworm body into cocoon layer during cocoon cooking, so that raw silk color is deteriorated, tender pupa skin is easy to break when pupa is just formed, bleeding pollutes cocoon layer and causes inner cocoon printing, and fat is easy to seep out during cocoon drying, pollutes cocoon layer and becomes oil cocoon, thus reducing cocoon silk quality. Cocoon picking is too late, if silkworm larvae are parasitized by@#@261 @#@, it will increase maggot cocoons; in addition, silkworm pupae will turn into moths, increasing the possibility of moth cocoons.

2. Cocoon picking method: pick up dead silkworm and rotten cocoon in the cluster first, remove grass scraps, silkworm dung and other impurities, so as not to pollute the good cocoon. According to the order of clusters, first pick first, later pick later. The cocoon picking action should be light, light picking and light putting, and all kinds of cocoons should be placed separately. Picked cocoon and timely thin spread in the plaque, not too thick accumulation, so as not to affect the cocoon quality heat. After cocoon picking, clean the cluster room and cluster tools in time, and do a good job of "four mountains disinfection" to prevent pathogen spread and pollute the environment.

(ii) Cocoon selection and transportation

1. Selection of cocoons: picking cocoons should be on the cocoon, under the cocoon, secondary cocoon and double cocoons were collected, but inevitably mixed. Therefore, strict cocoon selection should be carried out before cocoon is sold to improve cocoon rate, and the cocoon selection place should be bright.

2. Cocoon transport: fresh cocoons sold when the transport of cocoons, cocoon-loaded baskets, baskets inserted in the middle of the cage or dry straw, loose fast transport, it is strictly prohibited to plastic bags cocoons, transport cocoons to move gently, minimize vibration; transport to prevent sun and rain.

(iii) Cocoon sales

Cocoon can be divided into upper cocoon and lower cocoon two categories, its classification criteria are as follows:

1. Upper cocoon: refers to the cocoon that can reel low-grade raw silk, which includes most of the upper cocoon and a small part of the secondary cocoon. The upper cocoon has normal defects in cocoon shape, cocoon color, cocoon shell thickness and wrinkle, but the degree is not up to the lower cocoon standard. It can be used for reeling low grade silk, large reeling fold and poor raw silk quality. For example, multi-layer cocoon, light yellow cocoon, light firewood printed cocoon, light cotton cocoon, light deformed cocoon and water color cocoon belong to the category of cocoon.

2. Under cocoon: refers to serious defects, can not be reeling or very difficult to reeling cocoon, can be used as silk spinning raw materials or silk cotton system. Double uterus cocoon, peeling cocoon, yellow spot cocoon, firewood printed cocoon, oil cocoon, contaminated cocoon, thin skin cocoon, deflated cocoon, rotten cocoon, soft cotton cocoon, printed cocoon and so on belong to lower cocoon.
