Brief introduction:

The apricot orchid is turquoise when it is not in bloom, greenish yellow before blooming, apricot yellow when it is full blooming, and golden yellow in the later stage, which shines out a golden glow in the sun, which is rich and luxurious. From blooming to withering for about 40 to 50 days, flowers are rare flowers with a long flowering period among ornamental flowers and plants in the world.

Traits:

Epiphytic orchid. With slender transverse rhizomes.

The diameter of rhizomatous ba is 2-3mm. Leaves 5 Mel 7, oblong. Scape erect or suberect, with green and purple spots and brown hard lines, flowers solitary, apricot yellow, petals large, broadly ovate or suborbicular, lip saccate.

Its large and peculiar flowers are all different from other species of Aristolochia; Corolla apricot yellow and bright, 4mi 5cm in diameter; 5cm long; its lip is oval, 2cm in diameter and 3cm long; perianth and labellum all have fine purple line dots; two degenerated stamens are golden yellow, resembling the eyes of insects and glittering.

Its leaves are also very strange, the leaf art is rich, the leaf posture is graceful, the leaf is 9 cm long and 4 cm wide, the leaf back is purple, the leaf surface is grayish green, and there are dark green markings. It is a rare ornamental treasure among the wild dwarf species Paphiopedilum.

Distribution:

Produced in Fugong, Bijiang, Lushui and other counties in northwestern Yunnan. There may also be a distribution in Myanmar.

Habitat:

Born in cracks in rocks, resistant to drought. Single plant growth, no moss, leaves lanceolate, long 10cm about, wide 3cm about, iron cyan, leaf surface with white spots, thick and hard, not easy to bend. Spring blossoms, one pole a flower, the flower rod from the center of the plant to pull a plant only once in a lifetime. The flower pole is about 25cm high, and the width of the flower pocket is about 1.5cm. The flower pocket can hold a spoonful of water, which is really rare. The propagation of this kind of Paphiopedilum has a unique way of sprouting, that is, the root that grows in the same year will sprout at the end of the root the next year, and jump out of the soil to form a plant of its own. The root is born in the basin soil mixed with sand, rotten leaf soil and rotten wood.
