Variety source: Baihua Water Honey X Shanghai Water Honey (early), bred in 1975.
Characteristics: the tree potential is medium and strong, the tree posture is developed, the branches are evenly distributed, there are many compound flower buds, the fruit performance is good, the fruit rate is about 45%, and the yield is good. The fruit ripens early, generally maturing in the middle of June, and the fruit growth period is 75-78 days. The fruit is oblong, with an average fruit weight of about 125 grams, with a maximum of 200 grams. The peel is milky yellow, the top is red, the flesh is milky white, soft and juicy, the flavor is rich and sweet, rich in fragrance. The fruit is large and beautiful, good quality, high and stable yield, strong resistance and wide adaptability. It matures early and generally matures in mid-June in Jiangsu Province.
Main points of cultivation: the combination of sparse pruning and short pruning should be adopted in pruning, timely pruning in summer to avoid excessive growth, timely coring, promoting branching and making use of secondary branches to bear fruit. Young trees apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer on the basis of nitrogen fertilizer, big trees apply base fertilizer in autumn, and postharvest application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is mainly to facilitate flower bud differentiation. Because of the low position of flower buds, many compound flower buds and good yield stability, flowers and fruits should be thinned in time in normal years to increase fruit shape and improve commodity quality.
Suitable scope: popularized in Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Fujian, Anhui, Shandong and other honey peach cultivation areas.
