Potato is mainly cultivated as early-maturing vegetables in Tongren City. In order to explore the best density of virus-free potato cultivated in open field, the density experiment of virus-free potato was carried out in Tongren Agricultural Technology Station from 2006 to 2007.

1 materials and methods

1.1 the general situation of the experimental site was selected in the responsible field of Yang Xiudong family of Hongdong Group, Mulong Village, Bahuang Town, Tongren City, with an altitude of 260m. The texture of the experimental field was sandy soil with medium fertility and was formerly used as a folded ear root (Houttuynia cordata).

1.2 the tested varieties are the first-class production species of "virus-free Mila", which are provided by Weining Ruifeng Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd.

1.3The experiment was designed with 5 treatments: treatment ① (CK): conventional planting density 120000 nests / hm2; treatment ②: 135000 nests / hm2; treatment ③: 150000 nests / hm2; treatment ④: 165000 nests / hm2; treatment ⑤: 180000 nests / hm2. Randomized block design, repeated 3 times. The plot area 16.82m2 (9.33m long, 1.8m wide). Repeat, leave aisle 40cm during processing, and be surrounded by protective lines.

1.4 Field management sowed seeds on December 18, 2006, and 30,000 dung water was applied when sowing.

Kg/hm2 and common calcium 375kg / hm ~ 2; 450kg / hm ~ 2 phosphate fertilizer on March 16, 2007; harvest on April 29th, 2007. During harvest, 10 nests were randomly sampled from each plot for investigation, and then harvested in sub-plots to measure yield.

2 results and analysis

As can be seen from Table 1, the yield of treatment ⑤ is the highest, with an average yield of 21919.65kg/hm2, which is 24.69% higher than that of the control; treatment ④ is the second, with a yield of 21265.63kg/hm2, which is 20.97% higher than that of the control; treatment ③ is the third, with a yield of 20195.42kg/hm2, which is 14.88% higher than that of the control; and the per unit yield of treatment ② is 18688.81kg/hm2, and that of the control is 17579.36kg/hm2. The analysis of variance showed that the difference between treatments was 0.01 significant, and the difference between repetitions was not significant. There were significant differences between ⑤ and ③, ②, ① (CK), but there was no significant difference between ⑤ and ④. Cultivated in the open field at an altitude of about 260m, its density is 165000 ~ 180000 nests / hm2, and the yield is high.

2.2 effect of different density on growth period under different cultivation density, the growth period of each treatment was the same, and the days from emergence to harvest were 131 days. The growth process was the same, but the density had no effect on the growth period of virus-free potato cultivated in open field.

2.3 effects of different densities on economic characters it can be seen from Table 2 that the plant height of different treatments is 57.0~70.2cm, the highest in ⑤, the lowest in CK, the thinnest in 0.84~1.03cm, the thinnest in ⑤ and the thickest in CK. The number of branches is 1.80 to 2.67, the number of branches in treatment ② is the highest, and the number of branches in treatment ⑤ is the least. The average weight of potato per plant was the highest in CK and the lowest in treatment ⑤. With the increase of density, the plant increased, the stem diameter decreased and the number of branches decreased. CK produced the most tubers per plant. The largest amount of large potato (more than 70g) was CK;, the most of which was CK and ②, while the most of sweet potato (less than 50g) was ③ and ④.

3 summary

To sum up, selecting appropriate planting density and giving full play to the comprehensive advantages of individual and population are the key technical measures to obtain high yield of potato cultivated in open field. The results showed that the optimum density of virus-free potato cultivated in open field was 165000 ~ 180000 litter / hm2 at an altitude of about 260m.
