Harmful symptoms
The yellow and green stripes appeared on the leaves of garlic virus disease, the aboveground leaves of the diseased plants became smaller, the plants showed dwarfism, and the new leaves were too small to fully expand, which made the new leaves twisted and deformed.
The bulb bulb of the diseased plant was slightly smaller and the whisker root was significantly less than that of the healthy plant. Garlic cloves decrease, and when serious occurs, garlic cloves become stiff.
The disease can continue to occur during the storage period, showing that the garlic cloves are stiff, and the damage degree is more obvious than that in the field.
Prevention and cure measures
First, seed selection. Establish original seed base and production seed breeding base to ensure the quality of production seed.
Second, popularize and apply tissue culture virus-free seedlings. The in vitro culture of vegetative shoot tip and reproductive stem tip meristem was used to reduce the virus-carrying rate of bulb.
Third, crop rotation. Promote crop rotation with onion vegetables such as non-green onions and leeks every other year to reduce natural transmission in the field.
Fourth, strengthen the management of field cultivation. Timely sowing, reasonable close planting, strengthen fertilizer and water management, promote plant health and improve disease resistance. In agricultural operation, hands and farm tools that have come into contact with diseased plants should be rinsed with soapy water to prevent contact infection.
Fifth, control aphids and prevent diseases. In the initial stage of the occurrence of aphids, timely drug control should be used to prevent aphids from spreading virus.
Apply antiviral auxiliaries. A small number of diseased plants were found in the field, that is, spraying bacterial toxin (high concentration) 3000 times (10g / mu), 20% virus A wettable powder 700g / 1000x (100g / mu), spraying once every 7 / 10 days, continuous spraying for 2 times, which could reduce virus infection, significantly enhance plant resistance and play a preventive role.

How to store garlic scientifically
