Organic active high-selenium garlic with ultra-high selenium content was cultivated in Linyi city. On July 17, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology organized experts to identify the results of the cultivation of Linyi high-selenium garlic and the research and development of biological products, and determined that the technology was the first in China. According to experts, the selenium content of high-selenium garlic is up to 66.73mg/kg, which is 6673 times that of ordinary garlic.
According to the person in charge of Shandong Xingfa Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd., which developed this technology, organic active high-selenium garlic is cultivated by using special selenium fertilizer, combined with the unique garlic planting environment and garlic varieties in Cangshan. The yield of garlic is 10% higher than that of ordinary garlic, and the ability of disease resistance is significantly enhanced. At present, using high-selenium garlic, capsules and enteric-coated tablets have been developed to enhance immunity, reduce blood lipids, reduce blood sugar, anti-oxidation and delay aging.
