(1) Variety source: The cross line 130(740098/Fuhui 6811/Minghui 63) was bred by Leshan City Agricultural School and the sterile line Fu 76A bred by Sichuan Province Nuclear Institute.
(2) Characteristics: The whole growth period is 152.0 days, about 63 days longer than Shanyou. The plant height is 116.1 cm, the panicle is flat with 144.0 grains, the seed setting rate is 84.7%, and the 1000-grain weight is 29.3 g. Plant growth neat, seedling cold resistance is strong, tillering ability medium, plant type moderate; stem hard resistance to falling, regeneration is strong. Brown rice rate 80.5%, polished rice rate 70.0%, palatability, processing and appearance quality better than the control. Rice blast resistance identification, seedling leaf blast 6-7, neck blast 3-5, resistance is stronger than Shanyou 63.
(3) Yield performance: In Sichuan provincial trial from 1995 to 1996, the average yield per mu in two years was 569.03 kg, which was 3.59% higher than that of control Shanyou 63. In 1996, the average yield per mu of five experimental sites was 684.54 kg, which was 12.23% higher than that of the control Shanyou 63.
(4) Suitable planting areas: suitable for planting Shanyou 63 in one season rice area and regeneration rice area in our province.
