Fuqingzhan No. 2 rice
The rice variety Saoshenggui 2 of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences was crossbred with Qingluzhan 11 / Japonica indica 21. The whole growth period of early planting in Guangzhou is 131 days, and that of late planting is 117 days.
The variety has short and strong seedlings, wide leaves, good early growth potential, strong tillering ability, good plant type, plant height 105cm, strong stem, fertilizer resistance and lodging resistance, longer flag leaves, good late ripening color, wide adaptability, panicle length 21.9cm, total grains per panicle 143.6, seed setting rate 79.8%, dry grain weight 22.2g, late rice grade 1, beautiful appearance, slight aroma, hard rice integrity, good malleability and good taste. Medium resistance to bacterial blight, moderate resistance to rice blast, total resistance to 61.1%. (68.2% of Group B, 75% of Group C)
In 1998, the late cropping participated in the regional test in Guangdong Province, with a yield of 457.77 kilograms per mu, an increase of 6.7 percent over the control japonica indica 89, and an early planting of 15000 mu in 1999.
