Gangyou 906 (Rice)

The main results are as follows: (1) Variety source: it is a restorer line of Rongdao 906 (original code 48-6) bred by Chengdu second Agricultural Science Institute and a medium indica late-maturing hybrid rice bred with Gang 46A.

(2) characteristics: the combination grew vigorously at seedling stage, strong tillering ability, neat growth, compact plant type, and the whole growth period of about 145 days was 0.8 days longer than that of Shanyou 63. The plant height is 114 cm, the ear length is 23.4 cm, the full grain is 144, the seed setting rate is 86.2%, the 1000-grain weight is 26.8 g, the roughness rate is 80.2%, the milled rice rate is 70.6%, and the rice grain heart is white and translucent. The resistance of leaf blast was 4-7 and neck blast was 5-7, which was better than that of Shanyou 63 and was lightly susceptible to sheath blight.

(3) yield performance: in 1995-1996, the average yield per mu was 565.22 kg per mu in group C and group A, which was 4.28% higher than that of Shanyou 63. In the production test of 5 cities and counties in 1996, the average yield per mu was 589.59 kg, which was 6.98% higher than that of Shanyou 63. Shizhu County demonstrated 1500 mu of production in 1996, with a yield of 554.5 kg per mu, an increase of 8.7% over Shanyou 63.

(4) suitable planting area: this combination is suitable for planting in southern Sichuan, central Sichuan, western Sichuan and other areas.
