Last Updated: 2024/09/19, Boyou 210 is a new weakly photoperiod sensitive late indica rice variety bred by the cross of male sterile line BoA / restorer line 210 in South China Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. According to the characteristics, the whole growth period of this variety is 118-120 days, which is 2-3 days earlier than that of the main planting combination of the same type, with a plant height of 88.5-96.8 cm, strong tillering ability, stout stem, strong lodging resistance, 120-133 grains per panicle, seed setting rate of about 81%, and 1000-grain weight of 22 grams. Participated in the regional test of Guangdong Province from 1993 to 1994, the yield per mu was 415.1 kg and 4. 5 kg respectively.

In the regional test of Guangdong Province from 1993 to 1994, the yield per mu was 415.1 kg and 402.0 kg respectively, which was 1% and 1.82% higher than that of the control Boyou 64, and ranked second and first in the weak photosensitive group respectively.

The quality of rice is better. After testing, brown rice rate 81.24%, milled rice rate 75.24%, head rice rate 71.39%, transparency grade 1, grain length 5.8 mm, aspect ratio 2.7, chalkiness rate 3.2%, chalkiness 1.8%, gelatinization temperature 7, gel consistency 48 mm, amylose content 24.49%, protein content 9.31%. The appearance grade of rice was identified as Special Grade II, which reached the standard of high quality rice exported from Guangdong Province, and the rice taste was good.

It is highly resistant to two major diseases in South China, and the whole population resistance ratio to rice blast is 96% (high resistance). Among them, the resistance ratio to group C of the dominant population of rice blast in Guangdong Province is 100%, and the resistance to bacterial blight is moderate. After heading to the harvest time, the stress resistance is strong, not early senescence, green branches and wax stalks at harvest.

Regional and technical Boyou 210 is suitable for planting late rice in the late indica rice growing area of South China. At present, the cumulative extension area is about 5 million mu and the economic benefit is 1.34 billion yuan. It has become the main variety of late rice in South China. It is estimated that by the end of the Ninth five-year Plan, the cumulative extension area will exceed 10 million mu.

Cultivation rules:

The cultivation rules of Boyou 210 are the same as the general requirements for high yield in the field. In addition, the following should be done:

1. Sparse sowing and raising strong seedlings, early application of tiller fertilizer, promoting early emergence of seedlings and early tillering, in order to improve the effective panicle per mu.

two。 Do not apply nitrogen fertilizer in the middle stage of growth, and apply appropriate amount of strong tail fertilizer in the later stage according to the growth of grain seedlings and the soil fertility of the field.

3. In the later stage, you should not cut off the water too early and keep the soil moist or dry and wet. Due to the large number of green leaves and transpiration in the later stage of Boyou 210, wetting is beneficial to increase grain weight and prevent premature senescence; this variety is more susceptible to sclerotial stem rot, and moist soil can prevent the harm of the disease.
