Cow abortion is caused by many factors, which lead to careful prevention of cow abortion.
There are many inducements for dairy cow abortion, including heredity, climate and environment, endocrine, disease, feeding management and so on, and the main cause is improper feeding management. For example, feeding spoiled feed to cows, sharp changes in temperature (such as climate upheaval, cold stimulation, etc.), mechanical compression, cow falls, injuries and other stress stimulation can also cause cow miscarriage. Immune injection, casting magnets, overhauling cow hooves in large quantities, incomplete artificial insemination and disinfection, or poor technology (such as rude fetal examination, mismatch with pregnant cattle, etc.) can cause abortion. Measures can be taken to prevent miscarriage of dairy cows.
Cow
First, introduction and quarantine. Effective prevention and control of tuberculosis with salmonella and brucellosis, which can cause abortion, introduce dairy cows from disease-free areas instead of epidemic areas, and quarantine and raise them under isolated conditions before they can be mixed into the herd of dairy cows.
Second, strengthen management. To strengthen the cleaning and disinfection of the environment, we should also pay attention to the hygiene of dairy cows, especially the hygiene of the abdomen of pregnant cows, brush carefully to prevent the occurrence of vaginitis and uterine inflammation, and regularly quarantine, vaccinate, deworming and disinfect; and control the environmental temperature of the dairy house as far as possible, prevent heat in summer and keep warm in winter.
Third, reasonable exercise. A sports ground should be set up in front of or behind the barn, and the area of the sports ground should be designed according to 6-8 square meters per cow to ensure that the mother cow has sufficient light and exercise, but the amount of exercise of the cow in the later stage of pregnancy should not be too large. The barn is equipped with anti-skid floor to prevent pregnant cattle from being squeezed and collided. Pregnant cattle should not be whipped to prevent them from being frightened.
Fourth, feed and drink water. The feed of pregnant cows should be rich in vitamin A, vitamin B2, minerals and trace elements, nutritious and comprehensive, so as to prevent miscarriage due to insufficient nutrition or imbalance. Feed types, feed formulations and feeding and management methods cannot be changed drastically. Frost grass, mildew grass, frozen, spoiled and toxic feed such as potatoes and cottonseed cakes are prohibited. The drinking water given is sufficient and clean, and when the pregnant cow is sweating and fasting, do not drink cold water.
