Characteristics: belong to small tree type, large leaf type, mesophytic species. There is an obvious main rod, the branches are half-open, and the leaves are slightly obliquely inserted. Leaf flat average length is 14.2 cm, width 6.7 cm, leaf vein 911 pairs, leaf surface raised, leaf tip convex, leaf color light green, long oval. The buds are densely hairy, light green, with three leaves and a hundred buds weighing 113.0 grams. The dry sample of one bud and two leaves contains 30.52% tea polyphenols, 1.51% amino acids, 3.93% caffeine and 19.95% total catechins. The quality of black tea was similar to that of the control variety Qianmei 419. It has strong cold resistance.

Yield performance: from 1986 to 1990, the average yield of fresh leaves per mu was 279.9 kg, which was 66.11% higher than that of Fuding Dabai tea. During the national regional trial from 1997 to 2001, it was 37.2% and 81.81% higher than Fuding Dabai tea, a green tea control, and 0.002%, 41.49% higher than Qianmei 419, a black tea control.

Key points of cultivation techniques: ⒈ double-row single plant or double-row double-plant planting, with a large row spacing of 1.5m, a small row spacing of 0.4m, and 5000000 seedlings per mu.
