Characteristics: belong to shrub type, middle leaf type, early species. The tree is open, the branches are dense, and the leaves are obliquely attached. The leaf shape is long oval, the leaf color is dark green, glossy, the leaf surface is raised, the leaf body is slightly curled, the leaf margin is wavy. The buds and leaves are light green, the hairs are medium, and the buds weigh 58.2 grams. Strong sprouting ability, neat germination and strong growth. The peak of one bud and three leaves is in the first ten days of April. The dry sample of one bud and two leaves of spring tea contains about 3.8% amino acids, 21.6% tea polyphenols and 4.1% caffeine. The quality of green tea is similar to that of Fuding Dabai tea. Strong cold resistance.
Yield performance: in the product comparison test from 1992 to 1994, the average yield of fresh leaves per mu in 3 years was 352.6 kg, which was 19.2% higher than that of Fuding Dabai tea. During the national regional trial from 1997 to 2001, it was 37.19-138.1% higher than that of the control Fuding Dabai tea.
