Characteristics: belong to small tree type, large leaf type, mesophytic species. The tree is half-open and the leaves are growing horizontally. The leaf shape is oval, the leaf color is dark green, the leaf surface is raised, the leaf tip is sharp, the leaf length is 12.9 cm, the width is 5.3 cm, the leaf vein is 9 pairs. The dry sample of one bud and two leaves contains 4.7% amino acids, 30.4% tea polyphenols and 5.9% caffeine. Suitable for black tea and green tea, the quality of green tea is similar to that of Fuding Dabai tea, and the quality of black tea is similar to that of Qianmei 419. The cold resistance is moderate.
Yield performance: in the product comparison test from 1981 to 1988, the total yield of fresh leaves per mu in 5 years was 1234.75 kg, which was 21.46% higher than that of Fuding Dabai tea. During the national regional trial from 1997 to 2001, the freezing injury in Hangzhou was 68.21% lower than that of Fuding Dabai tea, 32.03% higher than Fuding Dabai tea in Guilin, and 2.74% higher than Qianmei 419, a black tea control.
