But if you keep vomiting, you have to take it to the doctor. First, you have to observe what it vomits. Sometimes dogs eat something unclean or stomach discomfort will vomit, this is a self-protection performance, vomit too good, nothing serious. But if you keep vomiting, take it to the doctor.

First, you have to observe what it vomits. If it is food that has just been eaten and has not been completely digested, there are several possibilities: food is not easy to digest, too large or too much; if it is food that has been eaten for a while and has been digested, there are several possibilities: Food is not hygienic, food is not suitable for dogs (such as milk, milk contains many substances that cannot be digested and accepted by the dog's stomach, which will cause them to secrete too much acid), food is not hygienic, the dog's digestive system has problems, the dog has too many parasites, etc.

Second, you should carefully remember the time it vomits each time, if it is too frequent (generally more than twice in January can be regarded as frequent), then there must be a problem, it is recommended that you take it to the hospital for careful examination, if there is a problem, good treatment as soon as possible.

Third, it is infected with germs, such as: small germs, dog fever, enteritis and so on.

In short, there are many reasons for dog vomiting, and it is likely to be a precursor to illness.

But as long as it is not often vomiting can rest assured, because dogs also have the habit of cleaning their own hair, in their grooming will lick into some hair, some of these hair will be excreted, there are also some accumulated in their stomach, and when the accumulation of more, will form dog vomiting.

Finally, if you feed him at irregular times and he is a good eater, hunger can also cause vomiting. These are just my experience, personal views, for reference only.

Most of the causes of vomiting are related to gastritis, and most of the causes of diarrhea are related to enteritis. If untreated, vomiting may lead to diarrhea, and vice versa. If the dog is obviously sick or has a temperature higher than normal (38.5C) 1C or above, it should be treated by a veterinarian as soon as possible.

Treatment for vomiting:

If there are no more severe symptoms, dogs are fasted for 24 hours (puppies fasted for 12 hours). Water can continue to be supplied, but not too much. 50-100 ml for small dogs and 200 ml for large dogs. If the dog drinks the prescribed amount of water, the same amount of water can be given 30 minutes later, but not immediately.

If stop vomiting, can give a few easy to digest light food, if fry egg. If vomiting occurs frequently, mix a small amount of brandy with the first meal (1 teaspoon for large dogs, reduced for small dogs). If you no longer vomit after eating, cook chicken, lean meat or whitefish and feed them bibimbap.

Three small meals a day should be fed instead of a large one. The next day, if everything is fine, you can feed more normal food, but still keep a small amount. It's best to wait another day or two before returning to a normal diet. For the first four days, only about two-thirds of the amount should be fed.

administration

General veterinarians do not treat simple gastroenteritis cases with antibiotics. Hydrogen aluminum suspension is a good stomach sedative for dogs experiencing vomiting. Small dogs, one teaspoon three times a day; large dogs, one teaspoon four times a day. Dogs experiencing vomiting or diarrhea may also be given kaolin, morphine or a combination of kaolin and pectate (dosage reference aluminum hydroxide). It is best to have at least one of these medications handy.
