First aid: treatment of sodium poisoning in dogs
Diphacinone, because of its low toxicity to humans and animals and safety, is one of the common rodent drugs widely used at present. But if it is not kept properly, it can cause poisoning if it is eaten by livestock or poultry by mistake. The author once encountered a case of poisoning caused by eating diphacinone sodium bait rice by an ornamental dog. The dog was cured by comprehensive treatment measures based on injection of vitamin K1. The report is as follows:
1, the incidence of Lin raised an ornamental dog, female, age 2 years old, body weight 8kg or so. On the morning of December 21, 1998, the animal owner laid the poison rat bait issued by the county patriotic committee on the ground of his rabbit house. Because the door was not closed, the dog went in and stole the poison rat bait laid on the ground.
After 2 pm on the same day, the dog showed depression, lying happily, not eating, foaming at the mouth, and paroxysmal spasms or calls appeared from time to time. By 4: 00 p. M., the livestock owner invited Yu to go for medical treatment. After inquiry and analysis, it was preliminarily diagnosed as diphacinone sodium poisoning.
2. The clinical symptoms of the affected dogs are extremely lethargic, with no appetite for food, foaming liquid at the mouth, and like to lie lazy. Forced to drive poor, dry nose, shortness of breath, body temperature 38.5 ℃. From time to time, the dogs showed paroxysmal tonic spasms, convulsions and screams. Grind your teeth, the edge of the straight tongue body bites through bleeding, and the dog's teeth pierce the tongue body; the next day, there are bleeding spots in the oral membrane, gingiva, eye conjunctiva, ventral medial skin bleeding and blood stasis spots; the end of the palpation drive is cold, the urine is less reddish yellow, and the feces contain dark red blood.
3. The poison rat bait issued by Xianjian County Patriotic Committee is made of diphacinone sodium mixed with rice. Combined with clinical manifestations, it can be preliminarily confirmed to be caused by diphacinone sodium poisoning.
4. the treatment principle is detoxification, sedative vomiting, fluid replacement, anti-inflammation, and comprehensive treatment measures to promote gastrointestinal excretion.
Specific detoxification therapy vitamin K1 is a special detoxification drug for diphacinone sodium poisoning. 4 ml of VK11 × 3 mi were given intramuscularly twice a day for 7 consecutive days.
4.2 intravenous injection of diazepam 2 ml × 1 branch and metoclopramide 1 ml × 2, mixed intramuscular injection, twice a day. Depending on the situation, it can be reduced day by day.
4.3 rehydration therapy: 10% glucose 100ml + VC5 ml × 2, intraperitoneal injection after heating, twice a day.
4.4 Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory Qingda 80000 × 2, intramuscular injection, oral amoxicillin capsule 2 tablets, twice a day.
4.5 strong stomach 10% Annaru 2 ml + VB12 ml × 2 branches + VB61 ml × 2 branches + inosine 2 ml × 2 branches, mixed intramuscular injection, twice a day.
4.6 Nursing instructs dog owners to pay attention to keeping the dog warm and often take nutritious liquids such as rehydration salt, milk, meat and bone soup, etc.
5. Experience
5.1 diphacinone is a delayed rodent drug. It is characterized by destroying suspicious blood enzymes in blood and causing extensive internal and external bleeding of capillaries in livestock and poultry (including humans). The diagnosis and treatment of diphacinone sodium poisoning can be made by inquiring about the medical history and checking whether there are bleeding spots in the oral cavity, tongue mucosa, abdomen and medial thigh skin.
5.2VK1 is a specific drug for the treatment of diphacinone poisoning. When using this drug for detoxification, you should continue to inject VK16-7 for a continuous day, and not less than 2 times a day, each time the amount should be sufficient in order to cure.
5.3 all poisonous rodent drugs are toxic substances, which should be properly kept by breeders, and dead rodents should be collected and buried in time so as not to cause livestock poisoning.

Correct treatment of fracture in dogs
The most common cause of fracture is a car accident, sometimes falling from a height and being squeezed can also cause a fracture. Similar to a fracture is a dislocation. The difference between the two is that the broken dog drags the amputated limb, while the dislocated dog dares not hit the ground and jumps on its three legs. Dogs feel a lot of pain whether they are broken or dislocated, and sometimes they lie on the ground shaking. At this time, we have to carry out the basic external fixation, hold the dog and go to the hospital as soon as possible.

Prevention and treatment of "intestinal dropsy" of horses, donkeys and mules
The "intestinal disease" of horse donkey mule mostly occurs in summer and autumn, which is mainly due to overfeeding or grazing fresh and succulent forage grass (especially leguminous forage such as alfalfa). After these excessive forage grass stays in the gastrointestinal obstruction, they produce gas rapidly and ferment, and a large amount of gas can not be discharged in time because of too much gastrointestinal forage grass, resulting in intestinal dropsy. The symptoms of the sick animals appear intermittent abdominal pain at the initial stage, and quickly turn to severe and persistent abdominal pain, lie down or roll on the ground, the abdominal circumference increases quickly, and percussion appears drum or gold.
