Extra-early Crispy Millet Jujube and its cultivation techniques

"extra-early crisp honey king jujube" is a rare variety of extra-precocious fresh jujube in China. The tree potential of the variety is medium, the angle opens naturally, the branches do not grow too long, the fruit is cylindrical, the fruit face is white in the crisp ripening stage, the fruit face is bright red in the full ripening stage, the single fruit weighs about 30 grams, the fruit size is uniform, the kernel is small and the meat is thick, and the edible rate is about 98%. It also has the following characteristics:

First, the mature period is very early. The mature period is in late July, which is about 1 month earlier than that of Lizao jujube. It is a very early-maturing fresh jujube variety.

Second, the fruit is very large. The average weight of a single fruit is about 30 grams, with a maximum of more than 100 grams, the same size as a pear jujube.

Third, strong disease resistance and stress resistance. The variety is resistant to drought, fruit cracking, fruit drop, anthracnose and rust, barren and saline-alkali resistance.

Fourth, preterm birth and high yield. This variety has self-flowering and fruiting and high fruit setting rate. In general, the fruit can be planted in the same year, the plant yield can reach about 2.5kg in the second year, and the yield can reach more than 1500 kg in the third year.

Fifth, excellent quality. The fruit is beautiful in color, sweet, crisp and juicy, without residue, and the sugar content in the mature period is more than 30%, and its quality is comparable to that of winter jujube.

Sixth, main points of cultivation. ① can be planted in all the areas where jujube trees can be planted in the south and north of China, with a ridge height of about 20cm and a row spacing of 2m × 3m. ② pruning: mainly to summer pruning, the seedlings planted in the same year, each plant only leaves 3-4 bud points, the trunk height is about 50 cm. When the jujube head grows to 8-9 secondary branches, the jujube head should be knocked off. In the second year, it is best not to hang the fruit, remove all the secondary branches and re-issue the main branches. When there are 7-9 secondary branches (that is, fruit branches), remove the jujube head. In this way, the tree crown can be formed in the second year and enter the high-yield period in the third year. ③ tree type: mainly happy heart type and two-layer type. ④ fertilizer and water management: fertilization is mainly in autumn, ditching and burying farm manure, about 5000 kg of farm manure is applied in 667m2; 0.3% urea is sprayed before 8: 00 a.m. or after 5: 00 p.m.; foliar fertilizer or growth regulators or trace elements are sprayed once a week from fruit setting to fruit expansion, so as to increase fruit setting rate, promote fruit expansion and improve fruit quality. Prevention and control of ⑤ diseases and insect pests: before sprouting, spraying 3 Baumetu stone sulfur mixture before sprouting to kill overwintering bacteria and eggs; spraying pyrethroid insecticides once during sprouting to prevent insect pests; spraying Bordeaux solution or Tetrandrine and anthrax every 10 days from fruit setting to fruit expansion to control jujube rust and anthracnose.
