Characteristics: this variety is a conventional japonica upland rice variety. The average growth period of one cropping upland rice in the north is 153.7 days, which is 10 days longer than that of the control Han72. The plant height is 78.51cm, the ear length is 13.72cm, the highest number of seedlings per mu is 346600, the panicle rate is 71.94%, the number of grains per ear is 99.59, the seed setting rate is 84.96%, and the 1000-grain weight is 21.9g. Resistance: the average drought resistance, leaf blast and neck blast were 2.4, 1.9 and 2.5 respectively. Main indicators of rice quality: head rice rate 71.4%, chalkiness rate 62%, chalkiness 7.9%, gel consistency 87 mm, amylose 14.36%.

Yield performance: in 2001, participated in the regional trial of upland rice in the middle and late ripening stage of the first season in northern rice region, the average yield per mu was 289.52 kg, which was 3.83% higher than that of the control Han72; in 2002, the average yield per mu was 362.41 kg, which was 10.69% higher than that of the control Han72 (extremely significant). The average yield per mu in the two-year regional trial was 326.0 kg, 7.53% higher than that of the control Han72. In the production test in 2003, the average yield per mu was 409.3 kg, which was higher than that of the control variety Han 72.

Key points of cultivation techniques: 1. Soil preparation: leveling the land before sowing, applying 2000 kg of farm fertilizer per mu, 20 kg of compound fertilizer, 15 kg of urea and 2 kg of multi-element fertilizer per mu after ditching. 2. Sowing: the row spacing of strip sowing is 30 cm, the sowing depth is 2-3 cm, and the sowing rate is 7.5 kg per mu. Suppress or step on the grid after sowing; 3, chemical weeding: Quick-killing paspalum, 60% butachlor 0.25 kg per mu, Nongsi 0.25 kg per mu, mixed with water spray; 4.
