Last Updated: 2024/11/05, In early April 2005, a farmer came to us for medical treatment. The adult carp he raised recently did not eat and died. The number of deaths was small. In the early stage of the disease, one died in three or four days, and two or three died in recent days. The disease has been going on for more than a month. Once treated as enteritis, disinfectant was used for 3-4 days, and thiamphenicol was taken internally for 5 days, the death of fish did not decrease, and the condition did not alleviate. The dead fish can be seen that the fish body is black, the abdomen is enlarged, the abdomen is squeezed with the hand, and there is a white purulent outflow. In order to make a correct diagnosis, he was told to go back and get the sample of the diseased fish.

In order to make a correct diagnosis, he was told to go back and get samples of diseased fish for laboratory examination.

Examination of diseased fish: visual examination of diseased fish emaciated, black fish body, more mucus on the body surface, Gill piece festering like a flower spot. Open the abdomen of the fish, there is ascites in the abdominal cavity, the intestines are thick, the intestinal wall is thin, and the intestines are full of white rice granular cysts. Microscopic examination: smears of mucus, Gill slices and white cysts on the body surface showed that there were more rotifers and bell worms in the mucus; Gill slices seriously festered; many mature oocysts and vegetative bodies of Amy could be seen under the microscope, with four spores in each oocyst and two sporophytes in the spores, inverted and juxtaposed with each other. Most of the sporophytes are banana-shaped. The pathogen was confirmed to be americiasis complicated with rotifer and bell disease.

Treatment: on the first day, sprinkle the whole pool with powerful bacteria and insects, every one day, and use it again. Then sprinkle 0.7 g / m3 of copper sulfate in the whole pool. At the same time, oral administration of sporozoite for 5-7 days. The first three days, because the fish eat less, according to the fish weight to calculate the amount of internal medicine, less feed, as far as possible to let the fish eat into the bait. Three days later, when he called to ask about his condition, the farmer said: after sprinkling the medicine, the fish began to eat the next day, eating more and more every day, and now there are still dead fish. Tell him to take the medicine internally according to the prescription, and change the water 1pm 3 after sprinkling copper sulfate for 24 hours. After 7 days, the fish ate normally and there was no more dead fish.

Because ameriasis is not frequently-occurring in carp culture, it is easy to miss in diagnosis and treatment, even misdiagnosis, delay the timely treatment of diseased fish, delay the growth of carp, lengthen the culture cycle, increase the culture cost, and bring greater economic losses to farmers.
