Last Updated: 2024/11/06, There are three sources of black fish fry: first, artificial breeding; second, purchase from non-local and non-local units; third, fishing for wild fry in the lush places of reservoirs, lakes and ditches. The following is how to manage the latter two kinds of seedlings as follows: first, when purchasing seedlings purchased by non-local and non-local units, you should carefully select strong and high-quality fish species. The specific standards are: from the appearance of the fish, the scales and fins are required to be complete, bright and shiny, normal shape, no traumatic disease. In terms of physique, it requires a high degree of fatness.

There are three sources of black fish fry: the first is artificial breeding; the second is to buy from other places and units; the third is to catch wild fry in the lush places of reservoirs, lakes and ditches. The following is an introduction to the management of the latter two seedlings as follows:

I. seedlings purchased by non-local and non-local units

When buying fry, carefully select fish with strong physique and good quality. The specific standards are: from the appearance of the fish, the scales and fins are required to be complete, bright and shiny, normal shape, no traumatic disease. From the point of view of physique, it requires high fatness, lively swimming and quick response. From the specification point of view, it requires the same batch of fish species, individual uniform, consistent specifications. A fish species with these conditions is a good fish species.

After buying fish fry, disinfect the fish in a bath with salt water or bleach before stocking, and then put them in a pond or cage.

2. Wild seedlings caught

The breeding season of black fish is from May to July every year, and it is the most popular in June. Therefore, according to their breeding habits, we can look for black fish fry populations in the shallow water areas of ditches, swamps, ponds, lakes and reservoirs with lush weeds. When a black fish population is found, it can be made into a semicircular fishing net (called end net by fishermen) with 30-50 mesh nylon mesh or polyethylene mesh, or trapped by ecstasy array.

The ecstasy array is easy to be located in the flat place of the pool bottom in the shallow water area, or intercepted at the reservoir branch, lake branch or river branch.

The ecstasy array is composed of a pile, a foil (fish wall) wall and a fish extraction part. The pile is made of bamboo pole or 14-inch steel bar (coated with antirust agent), 1.5-2.0 meters long, and the number varies according to the length of the ecstasy array, usually inserted every 3-4 meters. The foil wall is made of bamboo and polyethylene fish flower mesh, commonly known as Chuanzi. The length of the channeling depends on the depth of the water and the length of the interception. The fish collection part is a foil ring made of channeling seeds, which is of different sizes and shapes, usually of different sizes, forming a very complex maze, and the fish are lured into the foil ring and cannot escape. The last part of the fish section is closed with a rope, untie the fish when taking the fish, pour out the fish and sift them for classification.

When the large size seedlings of more than 10 cm are caught, they can be disinfected in salt water or bleach solution and temporarily cultured in small ponds or cages for another 10 or 15 days before they can be transferred to adult fish ponds. The small size seedlings caught must be cultivated to the required specifications before they can be transferred to adult fish ponds for culture.
