① red skin disease (bleeding disease)

Symptoms: large areas of hyperaemia epidermis. Fish body surface no large area ulcer, thick swelling, only fin base, nostrils and other obvious redness, showing bloodshot. Ascites and rotten gills are present in the later stage.

Pathogen and infection cause: caused by fluorescent extremely hairy bacilli, easy to infect. Unclean water quality, trauma, bait deterioration, etc. will cause this disease, which will occur all year round.

Treatment:

Soak the diseased fish in the original tank (pool) with 2ppm furacilin solution for several days until the condition is improved.

② enteritis

Symptoms: anorexia, abnormal feces, generally white dragging behind, after the deterioration of the disease, abdominal distension, anal and fin root bleeding and other symptoms.

Pathogen and cause of infection: Aeromonas punctata. It is generally caused by koi eating unclean or corrupt bait.

Treatment:

The diseased fish were soaked in furazolidone solution of 4ppm in the original tank (pool), or fed with feed containing garlic powder.

③ bacterial gill rot

Symptoms: The rotten gill disease of koi mostly occurs in the juvenile fish stage. The gills of diseased fish are often filled with mucus, the gills and gill cover epidermis are congested, the gills change from red to white, gradually rot and contain dirt, and finally develop to full gills. The diseased fish shows difficulty in breathing, the gills open and close rapidly, float, and soon die due to loss of respiratory ability.

Pathogen and cause of infection: caused by columnar fibromycete bacteria. It usually happens when the water is dirty.

Treatment:

Put the koi carp into another container, soak the diseased fish in 2ppm furacilin or potassium permanganate solution for 20 - 30 minutes once a day for several days until the condition is improved.

Sprinkle the whole pool with copper sulfate to make the concentration of copper sulfate in the water reach 0.7ppm, sprinkle once a day for several days.

④ Rotten tail and fin disease

Symptoms: The first type begins to decay from the fin edges and extends inward; the second type begins to decay from the central part of the fin and spreads in all directions. If the disease worsens, the fish's skin is congested, and if it is infected with other germs, it will lead to death.

Pathogen and infection route: the result of the joint action of myxococcus columnaris and mould. There are two ways of infection, one is because the breeding density is too high, the filtration function is not ideal, the metabolic waste of fish accumulates, causing pathogenic bacteria to grow, so that fish infection. Second, due to the introduction of new fish or water change, water quality differences or tension caused by fish discomfort, so that the surface mucous membrane secretion abnormal, fin edge because of weak infection.

Treatment:

Clean the filter and add a little salt to the tank, and stop feeding for a few days.

Soak the diseased fish in 0.2ppm potassium permanganate solution in the original tank (pool) for several days until the condition is improved.

5. Printing disease

Symptoms: The disease begins as a red wound, followed by a round or oval break in the epidermis, surrounded by congestion and redness, shaped like a mark, the muscle will become inflamed and decomposed when the wound worsens, even exposing bones and internal organs, causing the fish body to be very thin, which can cause death in severe cases.

Pathogen and infection cause: It is caused by Aeromonas punctata. Unclean water and weak fish resistance can cause the disease.

Treatment:

Sprinkle malachite green solution in the whole pool to make the concentration of malachite green solution in water reach 1ppm, and sprinkle once a day.

Soak in 2ppm furacilin in the original tank (pool) for several days until the condition is improved.

Apply furacilin or potassium permanganate and vaseline to the affected part of the diseased fish.

At ordinary times, it is necessary to increase nutrition for sick fish and enhance their resistance.

6 perforation disease

Symptoms: The symptoms of this disease are opening holes in the fish body, the wrapped meat will rot, congestion, as if with a spoon to dig open the general, a hole throughout several scales. Most of them occur on the body side, back and tail handle. In severe cases, fish bones can even be seen. Even if healed, the regenerated scales will not be neat, resulting in reduced appreciation value. When koi get this disease, eating and swimming situation also do not see anything unusual, but at the end, koi will become no appetite, and gradually close to the water injection port, but also vulnerable to water mold attack.

Pathogen and infection cause: caused by fish myxococcus, highly infectious. Perforation occurs because of long-term feeding of stale food, or continuous feeding of high-nutrient food at low water temperatures. This disease usually occurs in early spring.

Treatment:

Put the koi into another container and soak in 3% salt solution for 5 minutes once a day for several days until the condition improves.

Put the koi in another container and soak in 2ppm potassium permanganate solution for 10~15 minutes once a day.

After mixing furacilin and vaseline, apply it to the affected parts of koi carp.
