The suitable temperature for long-haired rabbits is 10 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, and it will be uncomfortable when the temperature is lower than 5 ℃ or higher than 30 ℃. Therefore, the high temperature in summer is not conducive to the growth and development, fecundity and wool production of long-haired rabbits, so the summer management of long-haired rabbits needs to be strengthened.

Rabbit

Heat prevention and cooling: always open the doors and windows of the rabbit house to make the air circulate and maintain ventilation. If the rabbit house is outdoors, it is necessary to build an Arbor before the arrival of a rainy day to avoid direct sunlight; secondly, when the outdoor temperature reaches 38 ℃ or above, the rabbit house should be sprayed with cold water to cool down, and grass trees should be planted around the rabbit house. If conditions permit, fans or air conditioners can be installed in the rabbit house.

Strengthen feeding management: first, the amount of green feed in summer should be increased to ensure continuous water throughout the day, and an appropriate amount of electrolytic multivitamin can be added to drinking water; second, after depilation, mosquito bites should be prevented, and if the skin is broken, the potion should be applied in time; third, disinfect the source and cut off the pathogen transmission route. Nongfu, Nongshu and dibromohydantoin were disinfected once every 7-10 days. Adding appropriate amount of antibiotics to the feed regularly, such as oxytetracycline, norfloxacin and so on, can enhance the resistance of wool rabbits.

Medicine bath: medicine bath can accelerate the growth rate of rabbit hair, increase the wool yield, the hair color is white and bright, loose but not entangled, and prevent the occurrence of diseases such as scabies mites.

The preparation method of ⑴ solution is as follows: adding 150g-200g trichlorfon powder to 50kg warm water into a solution of 0.3-0.5% concentration, then adding 150g sulfur powder, stirring evenly and then bathing; you can also use hibiscus skin and Sophora flavescens with 100g each, add 2.5kg water, filter out the liquid before and after, add 100g sulfur powder and 5kg boiled water, mix well, wait for bath. The above solution can be used for medicine bath in 20 long-haired rabbits. ⑵ bath method: after 10 days of shearing, choose warm and sunny weather for warm bath (do not frighten the rabbit, the rabbit should be full before the medicine bath). When taking a medicine bath, grab the rabbit's ear with one hand and put the rabbit into the bathtub so that the whole body of the rabbit is immersed in the liquid except the head, and the other hand washes the whole body of the rabbit from the bottom up, preferably to the ear and head. Hairy rabbits with scabies should be bathed alone.

Comb rabbit hair: the temperature is high in summer, comb rabbit hair once every 3 days.
