Finding biological agents for diseases and insect pests during the growing period of Chinese wolfberry

The use of this chemical will realize the biological control of diseases and insect pests in the whole growing period of Chinese wolfberry, which can not only reduce the times of control, but also improve the quality of Chinese wolfberry. Lycium barbarum is a traditional Chinese medicine grown in Ningxia, and it is also a leading industry determined by the party committee and government of the autonomous region. However, the occurrence of diseases and insect pests of Lycium barbarum is extremely complex, which brings some difficulties to the control work. The phenomenon of blind use of drugs and abuse of pesticides in production is very common, resulting in serious pollution of Chinese wolfberry and increasing production costs. Thus restricting the development of Ningxia Lycium barbarum industry. In 2005, according to the problems existing in the production of Lycium barbarum in Ningxia, the Science and Technology Department of the Autonomous region set up a major project "tackling key Technologies of Lycium barbarum industrialization" for research. in particular, in view of the problems existing in the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, the subject of "Research on Biological Control Technology of main Diseases and insect pests of Lycium barbarum" was set up, focusing on solving the bottleneck problem that pesticide residues restrict the improvement of the quality of Lycium barbarum. In the past three years, the research group has systematically studied six kinds of diseases and insect pests of Chinese wolfberry, such as Chinese wolfberry aphid, Chinese wolfberry gall mite, Chinese wolfberry mite, Chinese wolfberry wood lice, Chinese wolfberry red gall midge and Chinese wolfberry anthracnose. The prediction model of these diseases and insect pests has been established and applied in production. On this basis, they also introduced and selected a number of biological pesticides with good control effect from home and abroad, and prepared four kinds of compound pure biological pesticides according to the actual production in Ningxia. This year, the research group demonstrated on a large scale in Zhongning, Huinong and Yinchuan areas. combined with the prediction and forecasting technology, the use of these four biological agents during the growing period of Chinese wolfberry can control the number of control from 13 times in the past to less than 8 times. the cost of control was reduced by about 30%, and the biological control of diseases and insect pests of Chinese wolfberry during the whole growing period was realized.

It is understood that these four kinds of biopharmaceuticals are extracted from plants and determined by state-certified testing institutions that the Chinese wolfberry produced by them have reached the national green A-level products.
