It mainly occurs on the outer surface of the upper part of the scale, but also occurs on the inner surface. It produces irregular, light brown spots in the early stage, then light black brown, slightly depressed, and finally almost black in the diseased part. The tissue shrinks and dries, and the diseased spots can be as deep as several layers of scales, but the outermost scales are the most severely damaged. The flower buds of the diseased bulbs are aborted, brown to black, or a large number of small water-like spots appear on the flowers, which merge into irregular brown spots.

Symptoms: round yellowish disease spot with dark brown periphery of the disease spot. The disease spot on the petals is round and flaxen. Mainly on the outside of the upper half of the scale, but also on the inner side, irregular and light brown spots were produced at the initial stage, then light dark brown, slightly sunken, and finally the disease was almost black, the tissue shrunk and dry rot, and the disease spot could be as deep as several layers of scales. but the outermost scale suffered the most. The flower buds of the diseased bulbs were aborted, brown to black, or a large number of water-stained small round spots appeared on the flowers, which converged into irregular brown spots, and the tissue collapsed and thinned. Some of the injured pedicels also turned black, and the disease was more serious on oriental lilies.

Pathogens: ColletotrichumliliiPlakidas is a fungal subphylum, Alternaria, Colletotrichum, Colletotrichum. In addition, C.liliacearumFerraris also harms lilies. Soil disease remains carry bacteria.

Disease conditions: damp, freezing and digging injury of bulb are easy to induce disease.

Prevention and control methods:

1. Peel off the diseased scales, select disease-free bulbs, and avoid continuous cropping in the disease area.

2. Do not use too much nitrogen fertilizer, planting should not be too dense.
