Jujube bud weevil unearthed in early spring, the first harm to the tender buds of Zaozhuang, is the earliest pest on Zaozhuang trees, when the insect population density is high, it can eat up jujube leaves, resulting in secondary sprouting, resulting in reduced yield or no harvest.

The adult is dark gray or khaki, the head is black, the two sheath wings are curved, the length is twice as wide and the ventral side is silver-gray. Eggs milky white, later brown, long oval, very small. The larvae are legless, milky white, curved spindle-shaped.

The insect produces one generation a year, overwintering as larvae in 5-10 cm soil, pupating from March to April, and budding adults from April to June. To feed on adults, first eat the larvae or buds into a gap, and then eat up, leading to the second sprout. The peak period of adult damage is from the middle of April to the first ten days of May.

The adults are pseudo-dead, and the eggs are laid in the buds, leaf axils and skin seams. After the larvae hatch, they go down the tree trunk and live in the soil, feeding on the plant roots. After September, he was buried for the winter. After the spring is warm, the larvae rise to 5-10 cm and pupate in the soil chamber.

Prevention and control methods:

(1) before the adult worm is unearthed, the trunk is tied around with a 20 cm wide plastic film, the upper part of the film is rolled down, and a poisonous grass handle is tied in the middle of the film to prevent the jujube bud weevil from rising to the tree and destroy it before the damage.

(2) according to the false death of the adult, hit the jujube tree with a pole early in the morning to make the adult fall to the ground, and then concentrated spraying.

(3) during the occurrence of adults, 2.5% phoxim 1500 times solution was sprayed to kill the adults of the trees.

(4) spraying 20% permethrin 5000 times solution to control adults.
