American almond
American almond, also known as American almond, is partly used as seed kernel. Under the general management conditions, the yield per mu of American almond is about 300 kg, and the output value is about 5000-7000 yuan.
American almond has strong growth potential, strong sprouting ability and branching ability. the annual branch can reach more than 2 meters in length, 3 cm in diameter, 2-3 secondary shoots, 40-50 cm in length, and less flower buds in one-year-old branches. the 1-5 cm short branches sprouted after slow release have strong flowering ability, the fruiting branches are apical flower bud branches, and the fruiting parts are mostly on biennial branches, which are more resistant to drought and cold. Under the condition of drought, there is still a large growth, most of which are cross-pollination, and pollination varieties should be allocated during cultivation.
American almond is generally a thin-shell variety, with a light brown core and a semicircular shape, with a seed coat thickness of 8mm to 12mm. Some varieties have bare kernels and are easy to take out kernels. The kernel weight is generally 12g, the maximum is 16g, kernel thickness is 0.65cm, length is 28cm and width is 25cm. The kernel rate of most varieties is about 60%, and the high one is more than 65%. The flavor is mostly sweet (bitter kernels are generally used medicinally), with good quality and can be eaten raw. It can also be processed with high economic value.
