(2)Characteristics: growth period 143 days, 1-2 days longer than Shanzhai 8, plant height 89.9 cm, 137.3 grains per panicle, seed setting rate about 80%, 1000-grain weight 27.5 g, vigorous growth at seedling stage, strong tillering, good color change at later stage, leaf blast 4-6 grade, neck blast 0-5 grade.
(3)Yield performance: In 1994-1995, it took part in the provincial trial. The yield per mu was 437.8 kg and 459.5 kg respectively, with an increase of 4.86% and 7.01%. The average yield of two years was 448.7 kg, which was 5.94% higher than that of Shanzhai 8. In 1995, production experiments were carried out in Shizhu, Xuanhan, Cangxi, Baoxing and Hongya. The average yield per mu was 475.3 kg, 11.3% higher than that of Shanzhai 8. The rate of rough rice was 81%, the rate of milled rice was 69.4%, the rate of head milled rice was 52.25%.
