Ii you 838 (Rice)
II you 838 is a rice variety introduced by Huayanhua seed Seedling Branch from Sichuan Institute of Nuclear Applied Technology. It was examined and approved by Hunan Variety approval Committee in March 2003. It is suitable for planting medium rice in the province.
The plant height of this variety is about 120 cm. The stem is stout, the leaves of the main stem are 17-18, the sword leaves are erect, and the leaf sheaths are purple. Resistant to fertilizer and lodging, good color in the later stage. The average ear length is 25 cm, the total grain per ear is 150, and the seed setting rate is about 85%. A thousand grains weigh about 28 grams. The whole growth period of medium rice cultivated in Hunan is about 132 days, which is 2 days longer than that of Shanyou 63. According to the identification of disease resistance in regional test, leaf blast was grade 6 and ear blast was grade 5.
II You838 brown rice rate 79.8%, milled rice rate 73.4%, head rice rate 42.6%. The gel consistency is 55 mm and the amylose content is 22.8%. The yield of the production demonstration is about 550 kg per mu.

II you 906 was bred by Chengdu second Agricultural Science Research Institute. The whole growth period was 153.0 days, which was 3.9days longer than that of the control. The weight of 1000 seeds is 26.6g. The processing quality is similar to that of the control, and the appearance and taste quality is better than that of the control. Resistant to rice blast, identified in 1996 as grade 4 leaf blast, grade 1-5 neck blast, light sheath blight, fertilizer resistance and lodging resistance. From 1996 to 1997, the average yield per unit area was 574.6kg/667m2. The yield was 2.76% higher than that of the control. The average yield per unit area in the production test in 1998 is 5.
