After 4 years of trial planting from 1996 to 1999, the combination showed high and stable yield, good rice quality and multi-resistance, and its comprehensive characters were significantly better than those of control Shanyou 64, and its seed production yield was high. Through continuous experiments and trial planting for 4 years from 1996 to 1999, the combination showed high yield, stable yield, good rice quality and multi-resistance, the comprehensive character was significantly better than that of the control Shanyou 64, and the seed production yield was high.

Therefore, many male sterile lines such as Zhenshan 97A, V20A, you IA and Peiai 64s were used as female parents and more than R8608 restorer lines as male parents. In 1995, an indica mid-maturity hybrid combination with good yield, good rice quality and strong disease resistance was selected from F1 generation of test crossing. In 1996, we took part in the comparative experiment of the new medium-maturing hybrid rice combinations in our institute. Because of the remarkable yield increase and excellent comprehensive characters, we recommended to participate in the mid-maturity group test of the regional trial of improved rice varieties in Shaanxi Province in 1997 and the regional test of 3 years from 1997 to 1999. they all showed high yield, good rice quality and multi-resistance, and the comprehensive characters were obviously better than those of Shanyou 64, which was named I you 86.

[characteristics] I you 86 plant type is semi-straight, strong tillering ability, high panicle rate, plant height about 105cm, long and straight leaves, main stem leaves 15.8 leaves, curved panicle type. The average number of total grains per panicle is 122, the number of filled grains is 110, the seed setting rate is 88%, and the weight of 1000 grains is 27g. During the whole green period of 145 days and sowing to full heading for 114 days in southern Shaanxi, it is an indica medium-maturing hybrid rice, which is 2 days later than the control variety Shanyou 64. Strong lodging resistance, good mature color conversion, brown rice rate 80.8%, milled rice rate 72.6%, chalky rice rate 56%, transparency grade 1, chalkiness 12.8%, grain length 6.4mm, alkali elimination value 4.8, gel consistency 79mm, amylose content 227%, protein content 8.3%, rice white, taste better than Kyou195. According to the identification of disease resistance in the plant protection laboratory of our institute, the resistance of I you 86 to panicle neck rice blast was R, which was significantly stronger than that of Shanyou 64, and the resistance to bacterial blight was similar to that of Shanyou 64.

In the comparative experiment of medium-maturing hybrid rice in 1996, the average yield of I you 86 was 9.24t/hm2, which was 13.3% higher than that of Shanyou 64. In the regional trial of improved rice varieties in Shaanxi Province in 1997, the average yield 8.19t/hm2 increased by 21.49% compared with the control Shanyou 64, ranking first in the trial combination; in the 1998 provincial regional test, the average yield of I you 86 was 12.11% higher than that of the control Shanyou 64, ranking the second in the trial combination; in 1999, the average yield 8.43t/hm2 in the provincial regional test was 11.78% higher than that of the control Shanyou 64, and ranked the third in the combination tested. The average yield of 3a regional test was 15.37% higher than that of the control. In the production demonstration arranged by I you 86 in 1998, the average yield of 1.6hm2 in Chengguan demonstration planting in Ningqiang County was 8.7t/hm2, which was 28.89% higher than that of the control; in Donggou Township, Liuba County, the average yield was 8.93t/hm2, which was 24.4% higher than that of the control; and the average yield of 0.3hm2 planted in our institute was 7.65t/hm2, 21.57% higher than that of the control. In the trial production experiment of provincial rice region in 1999, the trial yield of Ankang seed Company was 8.1t/hm2, which was 19.44% higher than that of Shanyou 64. The combination has been popularized and planted on a large scale in the suitable area.

[region and technology] the growth period of I you 86 is similar to that of Shanyou 64, so it can raise seedlings in open field, two stages or film mulching in the safe sowing period of suitable ecological area. Two segments of seedlings were sent and planted with two plants and the density was 1.5cm × 2.Ocm. The amount of seed used in the field was 15.0~22.5kg/hm2, and the seedling age was 35-40 days. Open field seedlings should be sparsely sown and cultivated with tillers and strong seedlings.

I you 86 has strong tillering ability, large panicle and strong lodging resistance, so it should be planted densely on the basis of striving for large panicle. The planting density is 26.64cm × 16.65cm, with 225000 ~ 255000 holes per hectare and 1.57 million ~ 1.78 million basic seedlings, which is beneficial to high yield.

I you 86 is suitable for planting at medium and upper fertility level, and the suitable application ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is 1.0 150kg/hm2, which is generally applied with pure nitrogen 120kg. Before planting, sufficient organic fertilizer combined with 65 kg of pure nitrogen P2O5 and K20 is applied as base fertilizer, and urea 180kg/hm2 is applied 5 to 7 days after planting to promote tillering. During the filling period, foliar spraying of Hekuling combined with potassium dihydrogen phosphate 1.5kg/hm2 enhanced leaf function to facilitate grain filling. Strictly do a good job of water slurry management, shallow water in the early stage to promote early development, timely drying of the field, control of tillering, dry and wet in the later stage, do not cut off water too early. Do a good job in pest control in a timely manner. The male parent of I you 86 is R8608, which is a mid-late maturing indica variety, and the female parent you IA is an indica early maturing variety. According to the sowing period of the parents and the seed production experience of 4 years, Hanzhong summer system, the male parent went into the greenhouse on April 3 to raise seedlings in two stages, and the female parent raised seedlings in the open field on May 29, which can ensure a good meeting of flowering time in normal years. The three difference indexes of seed production were as follows: the time difference was about 56 days, the leaf age difference was 9.51 leaves, and the effective accumulated temperature difference was 489.7 ℃. Peeling inspection was carried out at the early stage of young panicle development, and it was found that the florescence was not met and adjusted in time.

The female parent you IA has longer flowering period, good glume opening, strong tillering ability, 13.3cm × 13.3cm planting density and 8: 10 seedlings per hole. The male parent R8608 has strong tillering ability and large amount of pollen, so the row ratio should be 2:16 or 1:14. The row spacing of the male parent was 26.6cm × 16.7cm, and the double plants were transplanted.

In order to prolong the florescence of male parents and increase the amount of pollen, strong seedlings with tillers should be cultivated. Therefore, the male parent rice seedlings responded to the application of sufficient base fertilizer, refined seedling board, re-application of tiller fertilizer, and good marriage fertilizer. After deep ploughing in the field, organic fertilizer combined with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer was applied, and tillering fertilizer was suitable for 7 days after planting to promote early development. The female parent excellent IA should be sparsely sowed, strong seedlings should be cultivated, and tiller fertilizer should be re-applied at the third leaf stage. Water slurry management should do shallow planting in an inch of water, protect seedlings in deep water, irrigation frequently in shallow water, and keep dry and wet in the later stage.

The female parent you IA was sensitive to "920". When the female parent was heading 10%, the leaves were slightly cut and 60g/hm2 was sprayed, and then 120g/hm2 was sprayed every other day, and then 15g/hm2 was sprayed every other day to remove the neck. Every day 10-30-13-15-30 was powdered with bamboo poles every 30min to improve the seed setting rate.

The parents' seeds were soaked with strong chlorine before sowing, Jinggangmycin was used to control sheath blight once at the tillering stage, with emphasis on controlling rice grain smut, and Mianheiling was used to control rice grain smut at the full heading of the female parent you IA.

Strictly select the seed production isolation area, do a good job in the female parent seedling field and tillering stage to remove impurities, focus on the female parent heading stage to remove impurities, mature first female parent, then male parent, strictly prevent mechanical mixing.
