Diagnosis and treatment of bovine actinomycosis
In early May 2006, 42 yellow cattle with an average age of about 8 months were imported from Mulong Village, Bahuang Town, Shandong Province. without isolation and observation, they were directly put into the enclosure and mixed with the original 20 cattle, thus causing 7 cattle to be infected with actinomycosis.
1 morbidity
Due to the occurrence of the disease in one cow introduced into the herd, after long-distance transportation in mixed herds and arriving at the destination, the cattle were not isolated and observed, but directly into the breeding house, resulting in the spread of the disease. It developed from 1 at the time of introduction to 7 at the beginning of July.
2 clinical symptoms
The development of the disease is slow, is a chronic infectious disease, mostly in the head, neck, subjaw and other places without heat and pain, obvious boundaries of scleroma, swelling of the upper and lower jaw. The skin of some diseased parts is broken and suppurated, and the pus is discharged to form a fistula, which cannot be healed for a long time. The diseased cattle had no other systemic symptoms.
3 Prevention and treatment
(1) first of all, the diseased cattle should be quarantined and treated, and at the same time, do not graze in low-lying areas, and healthy cattle are prohibited from entering the quarantine area. (2) Local treatment: the focus and its surroundings were disinfected and sterilized with iodine and alcohol, then the focus was removed, and the fistula was removed together with the fistula. the excised wound cavity was filled with iodine tincture gauze and replaced once every 2 days according to its condition. Burn around the wound and apply penicillin ointment. (3) Drug treatment: penicillin and streptomycin were used at the same time. Penicillin and streptomycin were diluted and injected around the affected area once a day for 5 days. After two courses of treatment, most of the lesions recovered. In order to consolidate the curative effect, another course of treatment was continued.
4 summary
The main results are as follows: (1) the occurrence of the disease is due to the lack of veterinary knowledge of livestock owners and the absence of isolation and observation of cattle imported from other places, resulting in the infection of healthy cattle. (2) cattle imported from other places must be strictly quarantined by professional and technical departments, and after arriving at the destination, they must be quarantined and observed for a period of time before they can be put into the breeding house. (3) actinomycetes are sensitive to penicillin, erythromycin, sulfonamides and iodine and can be used in treatment. The treatment of bovine actinomycosis takes a long time and should be treated according to the course of treatment.

Cutting pig eyelashes can prevent pigs from jumping.
If a pig jumps in a circle, its upper eyelashes can be cut off. In this way, when the pig looks up again, its eyes will be stimulated by wind, light and dust, causing the pig to feel a sense of fear. If its eyelash is long, it can be cut off until it does not jump in a circle. However, it should be noted that the pig's upper eyelashes should not be pulled out to prevent the pig from having a stroke.

Chickens and ducks pluck easily
1) when slaughtering chickens and ducks, first fill them with two tablespoons of white vinegar or white wine, wait 5 minutes for 10 minutes, the pores of the chickens and ducks become dilated, then slaughtered, then scalded with hot water, the feathers of the birds can be easily removed. 2) boil a pot of boiling water, add a spoonful of vinegar, put the slaughtered chicken into the pot, soak the chicken in water, turn it over and take it out after a few minutes. 3) do not boil the hot duck water, because the duck feathers shrink when exposed to 100 ℃ boiling water and are difficult to pull out. The correct way is to slaughter the duck when the water is boiling to blistering.
