The leprosy of piglets is mainly caused by the following causes:

Piglets lack nicotinic amine in B vitamins. Nicotinamide is an indispensable component of coenzyme in animal metabolism. The results show that certain amino acids, such as tryptophan, can be converted into nicotinamide in animals. Therefore, providing piglets with feed rich in tryptophan can prevent the occurrence of leprosy.

Zinc deficiency. It is reported that zinc deficiency in young pigs can also show symptoms similar to leprosy, which is called hypokeratosis in veterinary clinic, and the whole body of young pigs is covered with gray crusts.

Eczema. There are mechanical causes of eczema, such as friction and insect bites; physical causes, such as fire and sun burns; and chemical causes, such as smearing of various chemicals (acid, alkali and corrosive substances). Irritation to the skin by ointment containing turpentine and Croton oil Skin infection with microorganisms, the course of eczema often occurs in constipation, chronic indigestion, liver diseases, poisoning and central and autonomic nervous system disorders, that is, neuropathological eczema.

To find out the cause of piglet leprosy, we can carry out symptomatic treatment.

When diagnosed with nicotinamide deficiency, piglets can be given nicotinamide tablets. Each pig takes 30mg / 50mg orally, 3 times a day, for 10 days as a course of treatment. It can also be fed with yeast tablets or injected with compound vitamin B. At the same time, the feed is adjusted to provide feed rich in tryptophan. If diagnosed due to the lack of trace element zinc, zinc sulfate can be mixed in 0.5 grams per kilogram of feed, 10 days as a course of treatment, generally in a course of treatment can be effective. Due to parasitic mites, avermectin can be mixed in the feed (3 kilograms of 2 / 1000 powder per kilogram of feed) or avermectin and ivermectin can be injected. The mixture should be fed continuously for 15 days. If you are suffering from eczema, you can choose dry or covered powder or ointment for treatment, or you can use your own blood therapy, that is, take 30ml of your own blood and inject it into the skin or muscle, adding 10 ml on the second day and 10 ml on the third day. Local symptoms, every day can be sterilized gauze immersed in their own blood hot compress.
