Characteristics: belong to shrub type, middle leaf class, mesophytic species. The leaf is dark green, the leaf shape is long oval, the leaf surface is glossy, slightly inflexed, the leaf tip is acuminate, the leaf quality is soft. The buds are yellowish green and medium hairy. The bud leaves have strong tenderness, the internodes are long, and the weight of a bud with three leaves is 78g and 105g. In a normal year, it begins to sprout in mid-late March and is in full bloom in the middle of April. The amino acid content of fresh leaves in spring, summer and autumn was 2.99%, 2.11% and 4.0% respectively; the content of tea polyphenols was 29.88%, 30.81% and 25.90% respectively; and the caffeine content was 3.0% and 4.0%. It is suitable for making green tea, and its quality is the same as Fuding Dabai tea. Strong cold resistance.

Yield performance: in the product comparison test from 1989 to 1992, the average yield of fresh leaves per mu in 4 years was 498.4 kg, which was 22.97% higher than that of Fuding Dabai tea. During the national regional trial from 1997 to 2001, it was 94.44-105.15% higher than that of the control Fuding Dabai tea.
