What about slow growth of mushroom hyphae?
In the process of cultivation and management, it is necessary to master the biological characteristics of different varieties, understand the requirements of nutrition, moisture, temperature, light, pH and other environments in the growth and development stage of mycelium, after inoculation (10%-15% inoculation amount), in the culture room 2 - 3 days can be observed to grow mycelium, 7 - 10 days to grow 3 - 5 cm, 20 - 30 days to grow bags, 35 - 45 days to produce mushrooms, if not up to this standard, the reasons are:
(1)Raw materials stored for too long, acidic, can smell sour after mixing. Solution: ingredients can add a little more quicklime, change the pH of the culture medium.
(2)Medium moisture content is high. The suitable moisture content of culture medium was about 65%. It can change according to the different external temperatures. The seasons with high temperatures should be lower, and the seasons with low temperatures should be higher.
3) Control the temperature. 22 - 25℃ is the best temperature for mycelium growth and development, especially at night, so that mycelium can grow rapidly.

Cultivation medium plus plant ash Pleurotus ostreatus growth
When cultivating Pleurotus ostreatus with uncooked materials, adding proper amount of plant ash into the culture medium is beneficial to the growth of Pleurotus ostreatus. Because plant ash is alkaline, it has the function of disinfection and sterilization, which can inhibit the growth of various miscellaneous bacteria. At the same time, plant ash contains calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus and other trace elements, which can increase the nutritional components in the culture medium. In addition, plant ash has heat absorption and warming effect, which can create a good growth environment for mycelium growth. The method of adding plant ash to the culture medium is simple, just add 3%~4% of the plant ash to the culture medium after it has been soaked in water.

The mycelium of Pleurotus ostreatus appears "alopecia spot".
Some of the long hyphae in the culture material, some do not grow hyphae, or long hyphae on the surface but not in the material, which is called "alopecia areata". The main causes are too much water or uneven mixing, insufficient moisture regulation, too large, too thick, too tight, and poor ventilation or overtemperature after sowing. Prevention and control methods: add the right amount of water, mix the material evenly, the block should not be too big, too tight and too thick, always check the temperature of the material, so as not to overheat the fermentation of the culture material itself. due to overtemperature, "alopecia" should be replanted in time, because of moisture.
