Controlled atmosphere storage

The picked fresh mushrooms are still breathing, absorbing oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide. Properly reducing the concentration of oxygen in the environment and increasing the concentration of carbon dioxide can inhibit the respiration of fresh mushrooms and prolong the shelf life of Pleurotus ostreatus. Pleurotus ostreatus can tolerate 25% carbon dioxide at low temperature. In the controlled atmosphere room, there is a process of reducing oxygen and increasing carbon dioxide, and the shorter the oxygen lowering period, the better, so that the stored mushroom can get rid of the high oxygen environment as soon as possible and obtain the best atmosphere control effect.

Chemical storage

The main chemicals that can be used to store Pleurotus ostreatus are 0.1% sodium pyrosulphite, 0.6% sodium chloride, 4 mg triacane solution per liter, 50 mg penicillin solution per liter, 0.05% potassium permanganate solution, 0.1% oxalic acid and so on. The specific method is: first clean up the fresh Pleurotus ostreatus, soak it in the medicine solution for 1-5 minutes, then remove and drain the water, separate it into a 0.03 mm thick plastic bag (polyethylene), and tighten the mouth of the bag for storage.
