Last Updated: 2024/11/06, In the process of Pleurotus ostreatus cultivation, it is common that the mature mushroom bed does not produce mushroom for a long time, or after picking 1-2 tide mushroom bed, it is no longer normal to produce mushroom, the reasons are as follows: 1. the temperature of the material is on the high side. If there is no effect of lower temperature on the mature mushroom bed of mycelial culture, the temperature of the material decreases very slowly. If the feed temperature is higher than the temperature range of mushroom emergence, the primordium is not easy to occur, and this phenomenon is most common in low-temperature varieties planted in autumn. 2. The environment is uncomfortable. The ambient temperature of the mushroom bed is higher than that of the cultivated varieties.

In the process of Pleurotus ostreatus cultivation, it is common that mature mushroom beds do not produce mushrooms for a long time, or that they no longer produce mushrooms normally after picking 1-2 tide mushrooms, for the following reasons:

1. The material temperature is on the high side.

The ambient temperature of the mushroom bed is higher than or lower than the temperature range of the planted varieties, which will produce the phenomenon that the mushroom will not produce or no longer produce normally after turning the tide. The former occurs in spring, summer and autumn, while the latter occurs in winter low temperature season.

3. The accumulated temperature is insufficient. When planted at low temperature, the mycelium grew slowly for a long time, but the mycelium could not produce mushroom for a long time due to the lack of effective accumulated temperature and the physiological maturity of the mycelium. In addition, no matter when planting, the temperature difference before mushroom production is too big, which is not conducive to mushroom production.

4. Lack of moisture. During the culture period, due to too many times of uncovering the film, lax coverage or soil moisture absorption, the water content of the culture material will decrease, or the surface of the mushroom bed will lose water and become dry; in addition, after the mushroom body consumes a large amount of water of the culture material during the mushroom production period, such as too little water replenishment of the mushroom bed, it will also cause the phenomenon that the mushroom can not produce mushroom or abnormal mushroom after turning tide.

5. The hyphae grow excessively. When the water content of the culture material is too high, the humidity on the surface of the mushroom bed is saturated, and the change of the difference between dry and wet is small, which will cause the mycelium to grow and form a thick fungus skin on the surface of the mushroom bed.

6. Influence of insect pests. After the mushroom bed is polluted by miscellaneous bacteria, it can not only compete with the mycelium of Pleurotus ostreatus for nutrients, but also secrete harmful substances and inhibit the normal growth of Pleurotus ostreatus hyphae; after the pests invade the mushroom bed, they bite a large number of Pleurotus ostreatus hyphae and make the mycelium break and lose water. The normal physiological metabolism and substance conversion of Pleurotus ostreatus hyphae should be destroyed in the mushroom bed with heavy damage to diseases and insect pests. This phenomenon can occur during the whole mushroom production period.

7. Poor ventilation. The mushroom bed is poorly ventilated, the oxygen supply is poor, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the film is too high, and the light is too weak, which is not conducive to mushroom production. This phenomenon is more common in underground mushroom farms.

In the process of cultivation, careful management should be carried out according to the characteristics of each growth stage of Pleurotus ostreatus, so as to avoid the occurrence of the above factors that do not produce mushrooms or abnormal mushroom production, so as to obtain stable and high yield.
