Intercropping and interplanting techniques of lilies
In the southern Taihu Lake area, intercropping is often used in lily production to increase income per unit area. Intercropping had some effects on the growth of lily, the bulb yield decreased, but the total income per unit area was higher than that of single lily. If the intercropping time and management are arranged properly, it is beneficial to the growth of lily, and high yield can be obtained at the same time.
Yixing lily bulbs are propagated with bulbs, which only multiply 2.5-3.5 times in a year, and the ground space is free for a long time. The experience of interplanting in the local arrangement is that lilies are planted from September to October and emerge in the middle and late March of the following spring, and the ground space can be used for about 5-6 months. if lilies are planted early, radish can be planted in the first and middle of September, and the radish can be harvested and put on the market in late November. If the lily is planted late, it can be intercropped with Wutan cabbage and cabbage, and the supply is listed in winter and spring, and the benefit is also higher.
After the emergence of lily seedlings, interplanting summer and autumn crops, ginger is better, it and lily can promote each other. Ginger sprouts in the middle of April and is interplanted in early May. Generally, a row of ginger is interplanted in the middle of two rows of lilies. The ginger density is about 4000-5000 holes per mu. In the implementation of intercropping and interplanting, we should pay attention to the following points: 1) the row spacing of lily plants should be neat and uniform, so that intercropping crops can be planted and harvested at the same time. 2) increase the amount and times of fertilization to ensure that the soil contains enough nutrients to meet the growth of lily and intercropping crops. 3) the row spacing of intercropping is generally larger than that of single cropping, so as not to affect the growth of lily.

Lily watering and weeding by ploughing
The water supply of lily can be reduced appropriately at seedling stage and after flowering, but more water should be added during the peak growth period. In case of drought, irrigation is needed, and summer irrigation is generally carried out in the early morning or evening. The amount of water at one time should not be too much, and the soil layer should be completely wet. In furrow irrigation, only water is required to be level with the border surface. Areas with too much precipitation should be drained in time to prevent the occurrence of lily waterlogging. Lily-sheng should be ploughed and weeded several times, usually after irrigation or rain. Thoroughly clean the countryside and loosen the soil before winter.

Lack of light affects growth and flowering. It is suitable for sandy loam with good drainage and rich organic matter. Disease resistance is poor, easy to get sick in high temperature and humidity environment. The main species and varieties are divided into 4 groups according to the characteristics of leaf order and flower type: 1. Lily group: this group is characterized by scattered leaves, trumpet or bell shaped flowers,
