At present, dog breeding has formed an upsurge in every household. However, the phenomenon of loss caused by disease is quite common in the process of breeding. The symptoms, prevention and treatment of several common diseases in dogs are introduced as follows:

(1) the body temperature of dogs with influenza increased by more than 41 ℃, rapid breathing, pulse, dry nose, dyspnea, runny nose, cough, irregular fur, lying like lying, muscle tremor, loss of appetite. Prevention and treatment: (1) disinfect the kennel with 0.1g-0.4g formaldehyde solution or 0.2% Mel 0.6% caustic soda solution to improve environmental hygiene. (2) when the sick dog has a high fever, each injection of compound aminopyrine (10%) 5 ml or intravenous injection, 10% sodium chloride glucose. To prevent secondary infection, ampicillin can be used 1 g to 2 g once a day.

(2) Canine hepatitis, the initial body temperature of the diseased dog rises to more than 40 ℃, and after 4-6 days, the body temperature drops, lethargy, loss of appetite or refusal to eat, increased thirst, frequent groans, vomiting and diarrhea, bloody stool, conjunctival pallor, enlarged tonsils, heartbeat, and rapid breathing. Prevention and treatment: (1) Prevention by injection of hepatitis vaccine. (2) once the disease occurs, should be isolated for symptomatic treatment, with Banlangen injection, once a day, 4 ml each time, intravenous injection of glucose physiological saline plus vitamin C and antibiotics.

(3) Canine distemper is mainly characterized by acute onset and is a kind of septicemia. Suddenly high fever, body temperature rises to more than 40-41 ℃, a few hours or 3-5 days after dropping to normal temperature, there are obvious respiratory symptoms, severe sneezing, nostril discharge of thick secretions, and accompanied by conjunctivitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sick dogs restless, barking and even crazy, and finally bronchitis or catarrhal pneumonia, pleurisy and other symptoms. Canine distemper, which mainly affects puppies within 1 year old, occurs in summer and has a high mortality rate. Prevention and treatment: (1) inject attenuated canine distemper vaccine. The dogs were injected once at weaning, once at the age of 12-16 weeks, and once more at the age of more than 3 months. (2) Sulfonamides and antibiotics can be injected continuously for 2-3 times to eliminate inflammation and control infection. (3) 500 milliliters of glucose and saline were given intravenously during dehydration.

(4) Canine parvovirus infection has enteritis type and myocarditis type. Enteritis type: syndrome characterized by acute hemorrhagic diarrhea, vomiting, depression, fever and leukopenia. Sick dogs vomiting followed by diarrhea, depression, loss of appetite. His body temperature rose to 40-41 ℃ and died of rapid dehydration and exhaustion. Myocarditis type: mild diarrhea, sudden weakness, dyspnea, death within a few hours. Prevention and treatment: inject inactivated canine parvovirus vaccine or attenuated vaccine. Strengthen feeding and management, strengthen physique, do a good job in kennel disinfection and environmental hygiene, and isolate and treat sick dogs immediately. Symptomatic therapy and supportive therapy.

(5) the first dogs with rabies disease showed abnormal behavior, hiding in the dark and dull action. After 1-2 days, the pupils were dilated, unresponsive to stimulation, restless, eating less, swallowing stones, wood chips, grass, mud and other foreign bodies. 3-4 days later, the sick dog was extremely excited, ran aimlessly, bit people and animals, walked very fast, hunched over, clamped the tail, straight eyes, muscle trembling, and a large number of grotesque. In the later stage, the tongue protrudes, does not eat, sees the water or hears the water sound, has the spasm convulsion, the voice is hoarse, finally paralyzes the coma, the limb cannot bear the weight and dies. Prevention and treatment: (1) when people and animals are bitten by mad dogs, the wound tissue should be removed immediately, bandaged with 0.1% mercury or 5% carbonic acid disinfection, and quickly injected with rabies vaccine. People who have been bitten should be immediately sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. (2) immediately kill, burn or bury the sick dog. (3) to prevent rabies, all dogs should be vaccinated regularly every year.
