1 time for honey collection

In general, honey can be taken only when the honey spleen seal reaches more than 1 stroke 2. Because when the honey is not covered, the honey is not yet mature, and the water content has not been ruled out to the appropriate water content. If the honey is taken at this time, the honey is easy to ferment and sour and cannot be stored for a long time.

The best time to take honey is 3 ~ 4 days before the end of the honey flow period, remove most of the honey spleen sealed in the relay box and move it to the honey collecting room, separate at one time, save labor and time, and if the honey is collected before the honey source is stopped, it is easy to cause bee theft.

If the honey source is good, the honey spleen in the relay box can be extracted from the relay box when the honey spleen has been sealed with more than 1P2. Shake off the attached @ # @ 255mm, send it to the honey collecting room, and separate the honey with a honey distributor. The relay box on the colony was immediately filled with the spleen of the honey-separated nest.

2 separate honey

The work of shaking honey is best carried out in the honey collecting room. As long as the ordinary house is clean, there are no big leaks, and the door curtain is hung on the door. It takes 2 people to shake honey, one person to cut the honey cover, and the other to shake the honey distributor.

Wash and dry the utensils and honey separator with water before operation. The honey spleen was divided into two groups according to weight, and the two overlapping ones were divided into one group. The honey spleen was placed on the honey cover receptacle, and the house cover was cut off from bottom to top with a steam or hot water honey cutter, and then put in the honey cutting machine to shake the honey by centrifugation. When one side is separated by 1 / 2, the other side is changed. Shake the handle to make the honey flow out completely, then turn back the honey spleen so that the remaining 1max 2 is completely separated, and then replace the other honey spleen in turn. If you shake the honey in this way, the honey spleen will not break because one side is too light and the other is too heavy. Shake the speed and strength to be balanced and appropriate, the force is small, the honey can not be shaken clean, too much force, the nest and spleen is easy to break.

When the separator stores honey 70mm, it is necessary to open the lower honey mouth and put on the honey filter and honey bucket, so that the honey flows into the bucket through the filter, and the debris such as wax in the honey will not be mixed into the honey.

The high honey spleen is easy to cut off the house cover, and the low-lying place should also be gently cut off. After the honey is separated, the higher part of the spleen is cut flat with a honey knife, and in the future, the bee colony is processed by bees to form a flat nest spleen.

During the nectar period, the separated empty spleen can be added to the bee colony at any time. If the honey period ends, it should be added to the colony in the evening after the bees stop flying, so as not to cause bee theft. Wait until the bee colony has cleared the remaining honey from the spleen, and then take it off and save it for use in the next honey season.

(3) storing honey

After the mature honey is separated and filtered, it is stored in a large vat or wooden barrel and tightly sealed and stored in a drying chamber. Honey is moisture absorbent, if it is not sealed and placed in a place with high humidity, it will absorb water from the air and become sour, and small insects are also easy to invade and make honey unclean.

4 treatment of nest spleen

The empty spleen of the separated honey, if the honey source has stopped during this period, and there is still a honey source in the future, the nest spleen can still be placed in the colony for bee protection. 20 frame group can protect 6 relay box nest spleen, 10 box group can protect 3 relay box nest spleen. When the temperature is high, the nest and spleen are easy to be destroyed by nest insects, so it is appropriate to use bee colony protection.

5 fumigation of nest spleen

Wax moth larvae and eggs are hidden around the nest frame and gaps, in order to prevent, should always clean the beehive, sweep the bottom of the box. When the nest and spleen is not in use, put it in an empty box, if the temperature is suitable, the nest eggs will hatch into larvae, pass through the spleen, and the complete nest and spleen will be broken and can no longer be used. Empty nest spleen leaves the colony and must be fumigated within 10 days to kill pests. After every 2 months must check whether the occurrence of nest insects, if found nest insects, to immediately use sulfur fumigation method to kill insects, do not leave trouble. That is, first put an empty relay box on the inverted lid, put a basin inside, grind 60g of sulfur and mix it with charcoal powder, then put 6 spleen storage boxes on top quickly, cover the lid, and paste the gaps with paper to prevent the gas from coming out. Spraying a little water on both sides of the nest and spleen before fumigation can enhance the effectiveness. After a week, it should be smoked again.
