Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Jujube mad disease, commonly known as "male jujube tree", is a destructive disease of jujube tree. In serious cases, it can cause a large number of jujube trees to die and even destroy the garden. 1. Symptom recognition (1) the initial symptoms appeared after flowering, which were characterized by degeneration of floral organs and abnormal germination of buds, narrow leaves, clustered branches and leaves, and spatulate veins, yellowing and curling. (2) the diseased tree leaves had obvious pathological changes after anthesis, first the mesophyll turned yellow, gradually the whole leaf yellowed, the edge curled up, and became hard and brittle in the later stage. (3) positive buds and positive buds on one-year-old developing branches of diseased plants

Jujube mad disease, commonly known as "male jujube tree", is a destructive disease of jujube tree. In serious cases, it can cause a large number of jujube trees to die and even destroy the garden.

First, symptom recognition

The main results are as follows: (1) the initial symptoms appear after flowering, which are characterized by degeneration of floral organs and abnormal germination of buds, narrow leaves, clustered branches and leaves, and spatulate veins, yellowing and curling. (2) the diseased tree leaves had obvious pathological changes after anthesis, first the mesophyll turned yellow, gradually the whole leaf yellowed, the edge curled up, and became hard and brittle in the later stage. (3) most of the positive buds on the annual developmental branches and the hidden buds on the perennial developmental branches of the diseased plants germinated into developmental branches, and the diseased flowers generally could not bear fruit, even if the fruit had no economic value. (4) in the later stage, the cortex of the diseased root turned brown and rotted, and the fruit of the diseased tree had no harvest until the whole plant died.

Second, occurrence regularity

Jujube mad disease can be spread by grafting and root splitting. After grafting, the incubation period of the disease was more than 25 days to more than 1 year. Golden jujube is the most susceptible to disease. The disease is serious in jujube orchards with dry and barren soil and extensive management.

III. Prevention and control measures

Agricultural prevention and control: (1) get rid of crazy branches and diseased plants with no economic value. (2) the disease-resistant varieties of sour jujube were selected as rootstocks. (3) cultivate disease-free seedlings. That is, in the jujube orchard without jujube mad disease, scions, buds or roots were adopted to propagate in order to cultivate disease-free seedlings. (4) strengthen orchard management and increase the application of alkaline fertilizer and farm manure.

Chemical control: (1) at the initial stage of the disease, drilling holes in the roots and stems of diseased trees were drilled by hand. During the sprouting period of jujube trees in spring or during October, each diseased tree was dripped with a concentration of 0.1% tetracycline 500 ml. (2) drill a hole on each side of the base of the trunk or the middle and lower part of the non-scar node, reaching to the pith, the vertical distance between the two holes is 10-20 cm, and 10, 000 units of oxytetracycline solution is injected with a high-pressure syringe. If the circumference of the trunk is more than 30 cm, 300 cm 400 ml; over 40 cm, 500 cm 700 ml; over 50 cm, 800 cm 1000 ml; above 60 cm, 1200 ml 1500 ml. (3) at the initial stage of the disease, 0.2% ferric chloride solution was sprayed 2-3 times per 667 square meters of jujube orchard, once every 5-7 days. The application of 75 kg ~ 100 kg solution each time has a good effect on the prevention of jujube madness.
