Characteristics: this variety belongs to indica three-line hybrid rice. the average growth period of one-cropping middle rice in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River is 154.1 days, which is 1.5 days later than that of Shanyou 63. The plant height is 108.5 cm, the leaf shape is moderate, and the cold tolerance is general. The number of effective panicles per mu is 176000 ears, ear length is 23.7cm, total grains per panicle is 171.8, seed setting rate is 76.6%, and 1000-grain weight is 24.9g. Resistance: Rice blast 9, bacterial blight 5, brown planthopper 9. Main indicators of rice quality: head rice rate 65.8%, aspect ratio 3.0, chalkiness rate 11%, chalkiness 1.5%, gel consistency 63 mm, amylose content 15.8%.

Yield performance: in the regional trial of medium indica late maturity and high quality group in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River in 2002, the average yield per mu was 530.64 kg, which was 1.97% lower than that of Shanyou 63 (not significant). In 2003, the average yield per mu was 585.88 kg, which was 1.68% higher than that of Shanyou 63 (significant). The average yield per mu in the two-year regional trial was 559.99 kg, 0.02% higher than that of Shanyou 63.
