Variety source: medium hybrid rice bred by Hubei Jianghan Plain Agricultural Hi-Tech Research and Development Center using male sterile line "Ⅱ-32A" and restorer line "Hui898". It was approved by Hubei crop Variety approval Committee in 2005, and the variety approval number is Eshendao 2005002.

Quality and yield: participated in the regional trial of medium rice varieties in Hubei Province from 2003 to 2004, the rice quality was determined by the Food quality Supervision, Inspection and Test Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the roughness rate was 81.0%, the head rice rate was 62.2%, the chalky grain rate was 22%, and the chalkiness was 3.4%. Amylose content 20.9%, gel consistency 54 mm, aspect ratio 2.6. In the two-year regional trial, the average yield per mu was 578.30 kg, which was 9.11% higher than that of the control Ⅱ You725. Among them: in 2003, the yield per mu was 575.50 kg, 14.06% higher than that of Ⅱ You725; in 2004, the yield per mu was 581.10 kg, 4.62% higher than that of Ⅱ You725, and the increase in both years was extremely significant.

Characteristics: the plant type is moderate, the leaf shape is slightly draped, the sword leaf is wide and long, the leaf sheath and glume tip are purple. The tillering ability and field growth potential were strong, and the lodging resistance was moderate. The panicle layer is neat, the basal spikelet has degeneration, a few grains have short top awn, and the phenomenon of secondary filling is more obvious. In the regional test, the effective panicle per mu was 177000, the plant height was 119.8 cm, the ear length was 24.6cm, the total grains per panicle was 157.6, the number of filled grains was 131.3, the seed setting rate was 83.3%, and the 1000-grain weight was 27.00g. The whole growth period is 139.9 days, which is 0.3 days shorter than that of Ⅱ You725. The resistance was identified as highly susceptible to panicle neck blast and moderately resistant to bacterial blight. Rice false smut is more serious in the field.

Cultivation points: 1. Sowing at the right time and transplanting in time. The seeds were sown in the middle of April in northern Hubei, and in Jianghan Plain and eastern Hubei in late April. Within 30 days of seedling age, transplant in time. 2. Reasonable close planting. The row spacing was 13.3cm × 26.7cm, 2 grain seedlings per hole and 10 ~ 120000 basic seedlings per mu. 3. Scientific fertilizer and water management and pay attention to the application of organic fertilizer. Apply sufficient base fertilizer, early topdressing, supplement panicle fertilizer, spray grain fertilizer, increase zinc fertilizer and boron fertilizer. Frequent irrigation in shallow water, timely drainage and drying the field, avoid cutting off the water too early in the later stage. 4. Pay attention to the control of diseases and insect pests such as rice blast, rice false smut, sheath blight and borer.
