Before rabbits are vaccinated, the epidemic situation and regularity of local rabbit disease should be investigated and studied, and a reasonable rabbit immunization procedure should be established to vaccinate rabbits with a specific target.

Rabbit

1. Avoid injecting expired vaccines: the vaccine should be purchased from the regular animal husbandry department according to the number of rabbits raised and the immunization period of the vaccine. The purchase of vaccines with broken walls, unclear labels and unknown records is prohibited, and do not buy vaccines that have not been preserved as required and are about to reach expiration date.

Second, avoid too much or too little vaccination: if the vaccine is injected too much, the rabbits will react to the vaccine, and if there is too little, the antigen will be reduced, which can not achieve the preventive effect. Before use, the vaccine should be fully oscillated to make the precipitation mix evenly, look carefully at the bottle label and instructions for use, and be injected strictly according to the standard dose. And do a good job of the injection dose, date, vaccine origin several factory time and other records, to prevent leakage.

Third, avoid injection of sick rabbits: the health status of rabbits will directly affect the success rate of immunization. When rabbits have been infected with a certain infectious disease, vaccination will not only fail to achieve the purpose of immunity, but will die. Therefore, rabbits can not be vaccinated because of the sudden change of feeding conditions, bad environment, long-distance transportation, fever, illness and so on.

4. Pregnant female rabbits should not be injected: the vaccine is actually a weak virus, which can cause miscarriage, premature delivery or stillbirth of female rabbits. for breeding female rabbits, the vaccine had better be injected one month before mating, which can prevent miscarriage during pregnancy due to vaccination of female rabbits. it can also improve the immunity of newborn rabbits.

Fifth, young rabbits avoid early injection: newborn rabbits get maternal antibodies from the mother, which can effectively resist the disease. If the vaccine is injected prematurely, one is to make the immunity of young rabbits worse, and the other is to interfere with maternal antibodies. Therefore, the young rabbits should be immunized with rabbit plague vaccine for the first time at the age of 40-45 days, and then immunized again at the age of 60 days.
