Characteristics: it belongs to small tree type, large leaf type, early species, tall plant, semi-spreading tree posture and dense branches. The leaf is oval, the leaf color is dark green, the leaf surface is raised, the leaf is soft. The germination is still dense, and the period of one bud and three leaves is from late March to early April. The buds are yellowish green and fluffy, with three leaves and 100 buds weighing 120.0 grams. The dry sample of one bud and two leaves of spring tea contains 2.3% amino acids, 33.6% tea polyphenols and 4.4% caffeine. Suitable for making black tea, the quality is the same as Qianmei 419. The middle part of cold resistance is weak.
Yield performance: in the product comparison test from 1985 to 1992, the average yield of fresh leaves per mu in 8 years was 844.2 kg, which was 20.4% higher than that of Yunnan Daye tea. During the national regional trial from 1997 to 2001, it was 11.89-15.24% higher than Fuding Dabai tea, but 10.32-29.30% lower than Qianmei 419, a black tea control.
Key points of cultivation techniques: double-row strip planting with more than 3000 plants per mu is suitable. Pay attention to the prevention and control of mites in dry season.

Suitable for making black tea, the quality is better than that of Chu Ye Qi.
